"Yeah dawg, this helmet is gonna be worth some bread one day!" |
Well playa…that emotion must have completely taken over former Auburn cornerback Chris Davis’ family friend when they gave Ken Golden of Golden Auctions his Iron Bowl helmet. The joint that ole boy wore durin’ the 109 yard return as time expired to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide has been given up for auction bruh.
Accordin’ to Ken Golden, the auction will start at 5 stacks and the joint will probably sell for at least 25 stacks. So if the auction will start at 5 grand, that means that ole boy bought the joint for at least $2,500 from the sucka holdin’ on to it.
However, he hasn’t played a freakin’ down of football in the NFL to date. So that means that he’s not a big money cat in the league playa. He’s a minimum wage type cat makin’ 420 stacks this year. Now on some real talk, that isn’t small change but in NFL terms it’s nothin’.
So you already know that at some point ole boy is gonna come back to the crib lookin’ for that helmet that he let his homeboy hold on to only to find out that he's screwed him. The dun sold the joint without his permission and a beat down will ensue. Trust me on that playa.
"I wish that I could talk bruh! Cuz my boy don't even know!" |
You know what playa? That sounds great comin’ from a dun that’s 40 years old on the back end of makin’ all of his mistakes in life. This cat is 24 years old hangin’ out with boyz that are makin’ millions of dollars over a 16 week pay cycle bruh. None of these cats are lookin’ into the crystal ball of the future to next year let alone 5 or even 10 years down the line. So their poppin’ bottles, drivin’ big cars and makin’ it rain, even the duns makin’ 420 stacks. Why? Because when you’re 24 you think that you’re invincible and that the world is yours. After all, he’s makin’ more bread than anybody in his family. So he thinks that he’s made it bruh.
He walks out of college and makes $420,000 his first year in the real world after never havin’ a job before in his freakin’ life. Well…a real job playa, not something to do to buy sneakers and junk food. I’m talkin’ about when a boy has to pay rent, utilities, pay a car note and buy food etc. It just got real and he’s makin’ bread like that?
If he’s barely on the 53-man roster today he’s gonna be lookin’ for a job this time next year pimpin’! Why? Because they’ll be new boyz comin’ off of the assembly lines in May. So guess what? That helmet was a savings account and the dun that sold it is gonna get the breaks beat off of him for sellin' it. What did the big homie Eubie Blake say up top bruh? “Never trust anyone who wants what you’ve got. Friend or no, envy is an overwhelming emotion.” Trust him on that playa and stop me when I start lyin’!
Holla At Ya Boy!
