Why boyz shouldn't be surprised Dwight Howard is whinin' again! "Buster Brown"

"Man I'm so ready to go bruh!"
Tony Robbins once said, "For changes to be of any true value, they've got to be lasting and consistent." Aldous Huxley gave it to us like this, "Consistency is contrary to nature, contrary to life. The only completely consistent people are dead." Then Tony fired right back at a boy when he spit, "In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently."

Well playas...one thing for sure and two is for certain, Dwight Howard, better known as "Buster Brown" on TheJayGravesReport has consistently shown himself to be a buster! You already know that you can count on ole boy to be a sucka when all of the lollipops have left the buildin'. It's been reported that this dun is now unhappy in Houston because he's tired of playin' second fiddle to The Beard! Then he jumps out of the birthday cake and tries to refute the claims that he's not happy and wants to bounce. He's callin' them lies and rumors. Sound familiar bruh?

Let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This cat is the epitome of bein' a big ole soft Baby Huey or better yet Pee Wee Herman, Alfalfa, Steve Urkel, both Arnold's: Horseshack & Football Head, Revenge of the Nerd or the just plain ole kick me sign wearin' type cat that nobody respects in the hood. Are we surprised that this dun is whinin' again? Remember when Orlando had the chance in 2012 right before the All-Star break to move that dun and they didn't? He hustled them into keepin' him after the trade dead line only to start whinin' to leave again. Remember that? Then he pushed for Van Gundy's head on a platter like the Apostle Paul's only to deny that he even asked for it. I know you gotta remember that?

Now superstars have been runnin' boyz out of town for years! Magic push Paul Westhead out of LA like ole Eddie Cain only to get Pat Riley. So I get it bruh! But he was dedicated to stayin' there to win championships and that he did. He didn't push a boy out of the door and then bounce too. That's a Buster Brown move!

Then he ran out to LA to sign with the Lakers but wouldn't sign a long term joint! Again, I get it! He was weighin' his options and if LA was sucka enough to sign him without a long term deal why not? But when the dun wouldn't agree to the long term joint by the trade deadline in February of 2013 who were the suckas? The Lakers!  Mitch Kupchek fell for the ole banana in the tail pipe and wouldn't trade him hopin' that he'd stay. However, Busters are consistent playa! You gotta know that!

So in July of that same year when he became an unrestricted free agent and he dipped! Why? Because he's consistent! And the dull Lakers got nothin' in return for his services; zero, nadda, zip or in my Bernie Mac Players Club voice, "Notin!, Notin!"

Therefore,  once that dun starts hollerin' or even whisperin' that he's unhappy and wants to bounce you gotta start tryin' to unload his butt. And that's the edited version. Why? Because we've seen this movie twice before, in Orlando and in LA.

The Lakers offered this cat to a 5 year deal worth $118 million bruh! That was $30 million more that anybody else was willin' to put on the table. He turned that down because he didn't wanna play with Kobe! Okay, I understand a boy not wantin' to fool with Kobe because that dun still thought that he was the No.1 option. It is what it is. I'm not mad at a boy for not signin' with LA because it's a dumpster fire out there.

So he went to Houston and now he's upset that The Beard is the man! What's the problem pimpin'? I know that you don't think that you're supposed to be the freakin' man? It's the NBA in 2015!!! The game has changed playboy! The big ain't the man anymore! Unless you can shoot and play on the perimeter you can forget about bein' the first option! You better get in where you fit in playa and stop whinin'. But when a boy has buster DNA ain't nothin' you can do to change him.

He'll go somewhere else and be the same dude there too. Whinin' that he's not the man but won't make the sacrifice to step his game up. There is very little use for a dun that can ONLY play in the blocks in today's NBA! Stop me when I start lyin'!

Playas Thesaurus:
1) Spit: verb - to say
2) Dun: noun - the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It's whoever I'm talkin' about and its non-gender specific.
3) Eddie Cain: noun - the dun in the movie "Five Heartbeats" that got kicked out of the group for missin' shows and doin' drugs.
4) Dip: verb - to leave

Catching Feelings (Mark Cuban hatin' on Dwight Howard)

"Man he went out with me and everything and then he never called!"
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the late 18th century German writer, once said, “Hatred is active, and envy passive dislike; there is but one step from envy to hate.” Winston Churchill jumped out of the whip and broke it down like this, “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” Then my homie, Buddha, told a boy to hold his cigar so he could spit this, “Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind.”

Well ole dull Mark Cuban is out here equally sharing his misery and showing boyz that he has absolutely no peace of mind about not signing Dwight “Buster Brown” Howard. Less than 24 hours before his Mavs take on the Rockets this dun is hatin’!

He goes on record to say, “Obviously, he made a mistake in judgment. Do I blame him? No, that’s what young kids do. They make mistakes in judgment.” What? You can smell the hate in his breath bruh!

Now y’all know how I feel about the way Buster Brown handled the situation in Orlando being wishy washy and then ultimately signing with LA last year which made no sense because he and Kobe’s personalities were oil and water. However, it made all of the sense in the world to sign with Houston but even if it didn’t the owner of the team that missed out can’t criticize him for not signing with him.

Well… he can, but he only sounds like a jealous broad doing it! Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Cuban was chasing that dun like the other 4 teams that were in love with him. He went out on a date with them, listened to their spiel, ate their food and even kissed them good night.

Now Cuban is like the chick at work the several months later mad because a boy didn’t call her back and all they did was have dinner with her. He didn’t promise her a thing. It was a cool dinner and drinks but he eventually hooked up with another chick that can win with. That’s his prerogative. Houston made sense to everybody watching but the dun down in Dallas that caught feelings!
He goes on to say, "You choose teams. You don't choose players. If he made a choice off of an individual player, yeah, he made a mistake. You choose teams. You choose organizations. You choose coaches. And it's just not relative to Houston. That's just the way I look at it, because if he's that good, then the right organization…”

The key phrase in all of that foolishness was “That’s just the way I look at it.” The word “I” shows ownership of the said opinion. It is a freakin’ pronoun bruh! More specifically, it is the first-person singular subject pronoun. That means that when you use it you’re talking about YOU only! And when you use it you’re letting the world know that you’re a hater that caught feelings that a boy didn’t sign with you.

He's sounds like the stalker chick the morning after, "You said we was gone be together! I told all my friends that we were a couple now you got me out here lookin' crazy! And she ain't cute!"

Mark you're absolutely right about the organization is what the players should look at etc. However, players should look at the team etc. but you gotta have something in place for a boy to look at besides a 35 year old Dirk.

If only looking at the franchise were the case every free agent in the league would be running to LA right now to play for the Lakers. Great history, great place to play but boyz aren’t going anywhere near LA because the of the 35 year old monster known as the “Black Mamba” that still thinks that he’s the man and ain’t surrendering his power in the locker room.

Granted Jim Buss is killing the Lakers franchise because he doesn’t understand that dynamic either. A young superstar wants to be the man playing with other stars. As long as Kobe thinks he’s 25 and rising boyz ain’t going to Hollywood.

On some real talk, Dirk is 35 and there were no other pieces for Buster Brown to play with in Dallas bruh! Why would he go there? Because Mark Cuban says that he should? Wheredeydodatat?

I hope James Harden and ole Buster light the Mavs up for that foolishness that came out of Cuban’s mouth. Catching feelings is never good and definitely not for a grown man bruh! Stop me when I start lyin’!

Suckas! (Dwight Howard to Houston)

"You should have gotten me before I got you playboy!"
Back on January 23rd I wrote the Hot Joint entitled "Foolish Hearts" explaining to all of these ole delusional Lakers fans why Dwight Howard wasn’t going to stay in LA and why they needed to trade him ASAP. So I’ll start this joint with the same quotes that I used in that joint.

Franklin D. Roosevelt said, “Confidence…thrives on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. Ben Franklin was thinking like an O.G. when he said, “There are three faithful friends, an old wife, an old dog and ready money.” Then Chris Rock laid it out where boyz could understand it, “A man is only as faithful as his options.”
On Friday night after changing his mind several times even on Friday night, ole Buster Brown has decided to sign with the Houston Rockets. On some real talk, it was the best move that he could have made out of the 4 or 5 teams that he was considering. However, that’s irrelevant to this conversation because I wanna stay on the suckas that are the Los Angeles Lakers. You hooked up with the cat in school that everybody told you was a tease to most and a playa to others but you thought that you could change him. "Ima change him girl!"
See that’s the problem when you think that you’re finer than you really are. The Lakers are the broad that used to be a size 6 in the hot bikini that everybody had to wear a jock around at the pool. Now she’s a size 17 and still wearing the same bikini but can’t figure out why boyz are wearing boxers around her now and not paying any attention to her. Why? Because she hasn’t looked in the mirror in years bruh.
If Jerry Buss were still alive and running the team none of this foolishness would have ever taken place. Now a boy can't control dying but he can control who he leaves in charge. If Jerry were alive they would have figured out a way to keep Phil happy. They wouldn’t have never hired a dun like D’Antoni that had a .533 winning percentage and a system that didn’t work with the current personnel! They would have never signed a 147 year old point guard that was a huge liability on defense, and they never would have gotten in bed with a dun that has proven that he can't make up his mind.

Most importantly, they wouldn't have continued to tell their 35 year old two guard coming off of an Achilles rupture that he was still the 1st option! They will never get another superstar to play with Kobe as long as he still thinks he's 28 and talks to boyz like he's 60! So until they make up their mind that they're ready to start building for the future and are willing to put the keys to the Bentley in a boyz hands like they did with Kobe, it will never happen. They didn't tell Kobe that he was driving and let Shaq stay in the driver's seat. I'm not saying trade ole boy but he's gotta be willing to fall back if you want another stud in the building. So do I blame Jerry too for leaving the joint in the hands of a cat that doesn't know what he's doing? Well, yes!!
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Boyz are blaming Buster Brown but cats need to zero in on Jim Buss and Jerry for leaving this fool in charge! Dwight Howard is who he is playboy. You can’t change that. You can’t leave a crackhead in your house and run to the store for milk. It makes no sense to get upset when you get back and find the whole crib in shambles and everything that used to plug up, gone. Is it the crackhead’s fault or is it your fault that all of your stuff is gone?
So to hear a Lakers source say that they felt like Howard had pretty much made up his mind before even meeting with them and then describing him as emotionless was ridiculous bruh. That dun had made up his mind not to stay in LA when he wouldn’t sign a long term deal last summer. Did you really have to meet with him this week to know that? Now he’s gone and you got nothing for him like I said would happen in January. In my Bernie Mac voice, “Nutin! Nutin!”
If you’re the most popular cat in school and for years all of the 10’s have fallen in love with you and you’ve kept them on your team until either they fell off or you just found another dime to replace them with. Then you run into a chick that tells you that she’ll hang out but she ain’t committing and you keep her around? That tells you one or two things playboy and let me break it down in my Old Man Mr. Willie voice, “ Either ya slippin’ young fella or you done already slipped!” Suckas!

The quote under the caption isn’t real but its REAL talk!

Foolishness I Say!

"What I do?"
The British journalist, John McCarthy, once said, “Foolishness is rarely a matter of lack of intelligence or even lack of information.” Alice Walker, the famous poet, walked into a room full of G’s and said, “People do not wish to appear foolish; to avoid the appearance of foolishness, they are willing to remain actually fools.” Then Sacha Guitry, the famous playwright,  threw his dominoes down and said, “Our wisdom comes from our experience, and our experience comes from our foolishness.”
So if that’s the case then why are the Lakers still sitting in the cut waiting on Buster Brown to make a decision playboy? This is beyond foolishness at this point. If ole boy has played an entire season with your team and has already said that he doesn’t like D’Antoni’s system nor playing with Kobe. Why are you still waiting by the phone?
It’s like dating some chick for the past year and she keeps telling you that she doesn’t like your style, cologne or personality so she’s going to open up her options. Why would you sit by the phone like “M-a-r-c-u-s darling” in my Lady Eloise voice in Boomerang? Foolishness! Complete foolishness!
League sources are now saying that the Lakers could be fifth on the list of teams that Buster Brown is now considering. At this point it looks like the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and then the Lakers! Foolishness I say!!
If his goal is to win a championship then why is he even talking to Golden State or Atlanta? You can’t win a championship in either one of those joints bruh. Maybe I’m crazy but I thought I heard this dun say that he wanted to win a title. Now if that’s off of the table then let me know because even considering those duns is contradictory to what he’s been saying all along. So in other words, he been lyin' to boyz! Take the bread off of the table because LA can offer $30 million more than anybody else. So the money is of no importance at this point.
Just say, “I’m a fool and I don’t know what I want” and we’ll keep ridin’ but don’t tell me that you want to win a championship and you’re talking to organizations that are playing just to play and sell tickets.

Now the players are playing to win but it’s the organization that determines if you win a title playboy. It comes down to what the front office puts together and how they build the team. For both Atlanta and Golden State Dwight Howard will merely sell tickets for them playa not win a title because they’re giving up the world to get him and it’s Atlanta and Golden State!!!
Stop the madness and let’s move on from this clown but the Lakers are the biggest suckas in this whole fiasco. He’s already come through, lounged at your crib, pulled a David Chappelle version of Rick James by putting his feet on your white couch and you’re still cool with him. Foolishness I say! Complete foolishness.

Buster Brown's Big Top (The Dwight Howard Show)

"High, I'm your Ring Master Buster Brown and welcome to the show!"
George Canning, the 1700’s British statesman, once said, “Indecision and delays are the parents of failure.” Maimonides, the midevil Spanish philosopher, wasn’t playin’ when he said, “The risk of a wrong decision is preferable to the terror of indecision.” Then my man William James, philosopher and psychologist, shut the building down with, “There is no more miserable human being than one in whom nothing is habitual but indecision.”
The circus that is Dwight Howard opened at 12:01am on Monday with fake acrobats, animals, and clowns playboy. This joint is full of foolishness so get your popcorn ready because it may last for a couple of weeks primarily because this clown can’t and won’t make up his mind. He’s the original big brother, almighty, too tuff can’t get enough, too cool, too smooth, Buster Brown that pledged a made up frat.
Now I can understand the Hawks, Mavricks and Golden State getting in line to holler at this fool but why are the Lakers even talking to him at this point. They’re scheduled to give their sales pitch to ole boy today with Kobe, Steve Nash, Jim Buss and get this, Time Warner Cable because they’ve signed a 5 year deal worth $25 billion with the team in 2012. Really bruh? All those people for a dun that has all but told you he ain't comin' back?
You mean to tell me that the Lakers are actually gonna sit down and try to talk this cat into staying? He’s been in LA since last summer and he’s played an entire season with them and you still gotta convince a boy to stay? Wheredeydodatat?
Now on some real talk, the Lakers aren’t what they used to be since Jerry Buss died and his son Jim has taken over the team. It’s just one bad decision after another. So I’d understand if Buster decides not to stay but just say it bruh. They’ve got the wrong coach for him, the wrong system; Kobe’s a terrible teammate because there’s a lack of control in the locker room by D’Antoni. So I get it.
Don’t get it twisted, there’s a reason why I call Dwight Buster Brown bruh but Kobe can’t expect for ole boy to want to play with him when all he does is take shots at him in the media. Family business should stay in the locker room. Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If Dwight was a real G he would have jammed Kobe into one of those lockers and broken his jaw by now. Especially, with the guns he's got! That's real talk!
Duns like Kenyon Martin, Tyson Chandler and Udonis Haslem wouldn’t allow Kobe to talk crazy to or about them in the media regardless of how many rings he has. It’s the principle of it all playboy. They would have gotten at him on day one for that foolishness. Buster Brown just allowed Kobe to kick him in his butt and now he's gotten comfortable with it.
Now back to why the Lakers are some suckas for even entertaining this cat at this point. It’s like you’ve been hangin’ out with a chick for a year but the whole time she keeps saying, “I don’t know what I’m gonna do. You’re nice and all but let’s just see what these other cats are gonna bring to the table.” You keep asking her to be your girl but she won’t commit. Now she wants YOU to get in line with the other duns that are trying to holler at her too like you’re brand new. Wheredeydodatat?

Boyz act like they forgot that this is the same cat that literally quit of the team and got ejected on purpose just two months ago! C'mon bruh! Wake up and smelled the athlete's foot!

If I were the Lakers I’d tell that clown to kick rocks and find somebody that really wants to play in LA. Now I don’t know what other star player is willing to come to the Lakers and play with Kobe at this point but good luck with that. Just in case you haven’t been paying attention playa, Kobe still thinks that he’s 25 years old physically and has the mind of some old cat that’s about to retire from the steel mill after puttin' in 35 years. He wants every shot and will say whatever is on his mind to or about his teammates. That’s a bad combination bruh.
Coming off of a ruptured Achilles tendon he’s going to be a shell of himself at 35 playboy. Don’t let the Mamba fool you he's still human and Father Time is undefeated. His game is not going to be the same and he’s gonna need to adjust not only his game but his attitude if he wants another YOUNG superstar to play with him. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Barber Shop Talk

Dwight: "I say we try to make this happen bruh!" CP3: "I'm cool wit that!"
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” The famous author, William Arthur Ward, broke it down like this, “The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.”  Then the big homie, Confucius, said, “When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.”
Three years ago when Lebron James decided to take his talents to South Beach boyz in barber shops in every hood in America went bananas. Cats were actually upset that he was smart enough to call his boys and join forces to win a title. Ole boy was playing in Cleveland where he’d played through 2 contracts, his head coach had just been fired and Danny Ferry, his GM, had just quit. So his contract is up, he has no coach or GM and these duns wanted him to stay and try to win in that situation? That’s why they’re sitting around arguing in the barber shop playboy!
Three years! Three NBA Finals two NBA titles and two Finals MVP's! Enough said! Here we go with the idiot that ain't even gettin' a hair cut screamin', "Mike never left Chicago to win a title!" Listen here genius! Mike had Scottie within 3 years of being drafted and Phil showed up in his 5th year! The same Scottie that ended his career as one of the top 50 players of all-time and the same Phil that is the best coach to EVER live! That's why he never left you idiot! He didn't have to!

See Jordan would have been a great basketball player regardless of who drafted him because of his work ethic and competitive drive. He just wouldn't have won 6 titles playing in the wrong place. There was a very high probability that Michael Jackson was going to be a drug addict whether he was famous or not because he had addictive behavior. Instead of dying of a propofol overdose in LA as a rich and famous entertainer he would have died of a heroin overdose as an unknown Joe and poor on 25th & Broadway in the G. I'm just sayin'!
Now Chris Paul and Dwight Howard are looking to do the same thing with their NBA futures. They’re looking to join forces if at all possible to win as well. Like Confucius says, “Adjust the action steps!” For years organizations have been the only ones making the moves to win championships because the players weren’t smart enough to do it for themselves. The old timers used to call that “slave mentality” when people were afraid to think for themselves. So LeBron decided to think for himself and you're made at him?
Do you realize that more than 50% of all NBA titles have been won by two organizations? Boston has won 17 and LA has 16! Why? Because they’ve historically been the two best run joints in the league. That’s not the case now because Red Auerbach  and Jerry Buss are both dead. That’s why you see Doc Rivers and Dwight Howard weighing their options right now bruh. Dwight is still Buster Brown but that's another conversation homeboy.
What sense did it make for Reggie Miller to play 14 years in Indiana if the goal was to win a championship? Did it make any sense for Karl Malone to waste away in Utah before he ever figured out that he could win a title somewhere else? By the time he ran over to LA it was too late.
Ask Barkley how it feels to spend way too much time in Philly searching for Easter Eggs that were hidden in Boston, Chicago and LA! Patrick Ewing stayed in New York his entire career and it’s one of the worst run organizations in the history of sports. They haven’t won a title since 1973 and they're in the largest media market in the world. Wheredeydodatat?
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Since the beginning of time people have been teaming up with the best in order to maximize their potential. People that are great at what they do, want to work for great companies. When you’ve got options to work for several companies you choose the one that you have a better chance at maximizing your potential, right?
Since the days of Biddy Basketball and now AAU basketball, coaches have been stacking teams. You know how it’s done playboy! The 2 or 3 dads that have the best kids in the league join together to coach so that their kids can play together and win the championship. Those same duns in the barber shop complaining about LeBron hooking up with D. Wade and now CP3 and Dwight possibly teaming up are running a stacked AAU team as we speak. That’s real talk.
If your goal is to win a championship and you’re not playing in a situation that will allow you to maximize your potential and win one. Then you would be a fool to stay and wait on someone else to shape your future. If you’re working for a company that will not promote you and you’ve done everything in your power to get promoted and an opportunity arises for you to leave and get promoted. You’d be a fool to stay because some clown in the barber shop that doesn’t even have a job says that you should stay! Stop me when I start lyin’ playboy and pass the collection plate because y'all known I'm preachin'!

Mad Rhythm

"I just can't understand why boyz won't take me serious?"
Hilary Clinton once said, “You’re not a leader if you haven’t been elected.” Max de Pree, the famous businessman, gave it to boyz like this, “The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between, the leader is a servant.” Then the moral and social philosopher, Eric Hoffer, shut the building down with, “The leader has to be practical and a realist, yet must talk the language of the visionary and the idealist.”
Now on some real talk playboy, does any of that describe Dwight Howard? He hasn’t been elected, doesn’t define reality, isn’t practical and doesn’t talk the language of a visionary. So why on earth would Mike D’Antoni or anybody else for that matter look to him for leadership?
During his exit interview a few weeks ago with Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak he expressed that he felt marginalized by D’Antoni as the coach often looked to Kobe and Steve Nash for leadership and suggestions and discounted his voice. Duh??
Now as dull as D’Antoni is as a coach he’s not stupid playa. I’ve been calling Dwight Howard Buster Brown for darn near 3 years now for a reason. He’s a big joke in the locker room and at dinner tables all over America. Why would D’Antoni look to him for leadership when he’s got the Black Mamba and Nash sitting right in front of him?
This dun can’t make up his mind about what he’s gonna order at McDonald’s bruh! He’s the cat that holds up the line every time only to order the same freakin’ thing. He hee hawed around with Orlando for two seasons eventually getting Van Gundy fired only to bounce anyway.  Then he shows up in LA acting like a Big Baby Huey goofing around all of time.
Before the game against the Pacers when Kobe’s ankle was as big as a melon about 6 weeks ago this cat is running down the hall with his shirt off goofing around with the ushers. I saw that with my own eyes bruh! Your leader is probably not going to play so it should be the next man up mentality and this fool is in Romper room an hour before tip-off.

Then when they finally did make the playoffs he gets ejected on purpose because they were getting the brakes beat off of them and he was tired of bending over.
So why would anybody look for leadership out of this clown? More importantly, why would he fix his mouth or his mind, like Big Momma used to say, to think that he was a leader?
The Lakers were already dull going in and then struggled all season long to find their stride. They limped into the 8th spot to barely make the playoffs and he think’s that some dun would look to him to lead? All Buster Brown can do is lead boyz to the cafeteria to eat bruh or lead the Derrick Rose to the next Cotton Candy festival.
Playing in LA for the Lakers is the most premiere place in the world that a professional basketball player could ever want to play and this dun is still thinking about it? Not to mention, they’ve got $30.7 million more to offer him than anybody else and he’s indecisive bruh?

It’s like Beyonce’ giving you mad rhythm at the club but you don’t want to commit too early in the night because you think you can do better. When the joint let’s out you’re still in the parking lot trying to make up your mind while she’s jumping in the ride with her cousin going to Waffle House and all of the other chicks have linked up with somebody else.  Again I ask, why would anybody including ole dull D’Antoni mistake this clown for a leader?
If a million people were rushing the gate the leadership sensor would go off as soon as he got close enough. They would pull that dun out of line, strip search him and arrest him for fraud. In order to be a leader you’ve got to be willing to lead playboy and not stand around cracking jokes when boyz need you to be serious.

Henry Kissinger said it best with, “A leader does not deserve the name unless he is willing occasionally to stand alone.” All Lakers fans should be praying that this cat doesn’t sign with them because if he does it’s gonna be dull for a while in LA bruh! Stop me when I start lyin’!

According To Who? (Buster Brown)

"You mean I still gotta make a decision?"
The 19th century philosopher and psychologist, William James, jumped out of the ride and said, “There is no more miserable human being than one on whom nothing is habitual but indecision.” One of the most influential Torah scholars of the Middle Ages, Maimonides, slowed his joint down and said, “The risk of a wrong decision is preferable to the terror of indecision.” Then George Canning, the British statesman, pulled up and said, “Indecision and delays are the parents of failure.”
Ole dull Buster Brown is still wavering back and forth as to whether he’ll sign with the Lakers or not even after being there for a year. As a professional athlete there is no better place in the WORLD to play than Los Angeles! I know boyz think that I hate on the Lakers because I keep it real about both Dwight and the Black Mamba. It’s not hate playboy, its real talk and you gotta take your heart out of it to see it for what it is.
Playing for the Lakers is like living in the Land of Oz bruh! It doesn’t get any better than that. These duns have won 16 NBA titles, it’s SHOW TIME even if Magic is no longer playing because all of Hollywood is hanging from your jock and you play 82 home games a year. You’ve got more fans on the road than the other team in every arena except Boston and Miami. Why wouldn’t a cat sign with the Lakers?
They're offerin' this dun a 5 year deal worth $118 million bruh! That's $30 million more that anybody else is willin' to put on the table. The other top suitors are Dallas, Houston and Cleveland bruh and this cat is thinking about what? That’s like Halle Berry giving you mad rhythm and willing to cover all of your expanses to be your girl and you’re still trying to decide whether you wanna holler at Alice the Goon, Big Shirley or Shanaynay!
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The only reason boyz started playing sports in the first place was because of women. As a matter of fact, the only reason boyz do anything is because of women.

Cats started playing sports because it made them more popular in school. According to who? Women! Boyz put on the hottest gear to impress who? Women! When cats get up in the morning they’re thinking about getting this money because they look a whole lot better with it than without it. According to who? Women! Boyz pull up in the hottest whips because they look like the freakin’ man. According to who? Women! Duns play in LA! Why? For the women!

On some real talk, women do what they do for the women! The chick that buys the $900 Louis Vuitton bag didn't buy that joint to impress men! She bought that joint to out do other women! The woman in the $1,000 Red Bottoms is wearing those joints to be the baddest chick in the room among other women! Dudes don't care about that. As long as she's fine. She could be working on fries or waiting tables and boy will holler. Just ask ole Tiger if I'm Lyin'.
If you’re in LA where all of the women are and all of the baddest women are trying to get to for professional reasons, models, actresses or just plain groupies etc. What more is there to think about playboy? It’s LA! I can hear that old school Bootsy Collins bumpin’ right now bruh, “Um LA, Californ-I-A! The city of Angels, Hollywood!” And this dun is still thinking about it?
Not only are you where all of the action is you’re in the best place in the world to get more money. Playing in Hollywood is the stage of all stages and endorsement deals fall out of boyz pockets like loose change out there bruh. You’re where all of the opportunity is when it comes to side hustles. Here’s what’s crazy! All you gotta do is ball, show up on your off day do a commercial and dip.
So why can’t Buster Brown make up his mind? Because he’s not a real G. You knew this dun was weak when he started running game on Orlando two years ago. The ultimate punk move was when he wouldn’t own up to playing Van Gundy crazy. Then he interrupted his press interview when he put his arm around ole boy and called Jameer Nelson’s name as if to say, “Look how I’m doin’ this fool, right in front of everybody.” Only real cats picked up on that though.
When you can’t make up your mind as to whether you wanna play for the LAKERS you ain’t serious about playing basketball or winning. He ain't built for the pressure that comes with playing in LA bruh! It's like Trey telling Dough Boy to pull over to let him out when they were looking for Ricky's killers. That's Dwight Howard playboy!

Now I know Jim Buss is killin’ the team right now but it’s LA and the history that his old man built ain’t goin’ nowhere bruh! Even if Jim is being a terrible owner they’re still the Lakers and boyz will want to come out there to play for all of the above reasons.
Even with having ole dull D’Antoni this year, without all of the injuries they would have given boyz problems in the West. Don’t trip because players will always line up to play for the Lakers so winning will never be a problem. However, if you’re a Laker fan the last thing you want is for Buster Brown to sign that contract because he’s got as much heart as the Tin Man or Derrick Rose. And let ALL the REAL G's say Amen!

The quote under the caption isn't real but it's hilarious!

Deep Inside

"Just listen & watch playboy! That's all you gotta do!"
Vince Lombardi once said, “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.”  Former Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jay Sam Ewing gave it to us like this, “Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don’t turn up at all.”
Well it looks like ole “Buster Brown” Dwight Howard has finally decided to turn up and become the beast that he is supposed to be for the Lakers. It’s taken this dun to show up and play with Kobe to learn that becoming a great player takes more than just putting on a uniform and smiling. When the Lakers initially signed him I went on record first telling boyz that he and Kobe could not occupy the same space. Go pull the tape bruh when I’m lyin’ I’m dying!
Now this cat is saying that he made a change during the All-Star break to commit himself to being better. "And I just told myself, 'I'm going to commit myself to being better for the second half of the season.' "

The problem that I’ve had with Buster Brown is that he’s the most talented “Big” in the game but he wasn’t ever dialed in to become the best that he could be. Like I always say, talent will fool you into believing that you don’t have to put in the work. It will tell you that because you’re more gifted than the rest, success is yours for the taking. That simply isn’t the case playboy!

It’s taken Dwight to finally see what talent and determination looks like up close and personal for him to understand what being great is all about. I can blast Kobe all day about being a selfish snitch but his game is solid and his work ethic is through the roof.  I respect duns that put it in at all costs.

Work ethic is more important than talent alone because it will take you where talent can only dream of going. Boyz will say that Dwight’s back is getting better and that’s why he’s averaging 15.4 points, 14.1 rebounds and 2.4 blocks a game since the All-Star break. Over the last two games he’s dominated defensively and averaged 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4.5 blocks, while the Mamba has put up back-to-back 40 point joints and thrown 10 dimes in each of the two games. Sure, Dwight’s back is getting better but he’s finally becoming a real cat that understands that in order to win championships you gotta put in the work.

See everybody wanna go to Heaven but nobody’s ready to die! It's called sacrifice playa! In order to be great you’ve got to be extremely good at doing the things that require absolutely no talent. It requires no talent to be on time, to be disciplined, to put in work when everybody else is asleep, to come into the office early and stay late, to do more research than everyone else before the big meeting etc. None of that requires talent homeboy.

However, the result of all of those little things wins championships! It’s called digging deep inside of yourself to touch the potential that God has put in all of us.

If Buster Brown wants to become as great as he can be he’ll sign that extension with the Lakers and play with Kobe until he retires. Playing with someone like that will push him beyond his normal limits. If he wants to continue to be talented and under achieve he’ll bounce at the end of the season and never live up to his true potential whether he ever wins a title or not!

The best thing that has ever happened to him was being able to share the same space with the Black Mamba! Just don’t ever be ridin’ dirty or decide to get into anything shady and give that dun a ride home after practice. Cuz you goin’ to jail by yo-self pimpin’! Stop me when I start lyin'!

The Mamba

"What? Y'all thought I lost it bruh?"
The motivational speaker and author Denis Waitley once said, “Learn from the past, set vivid, detailed goals for the future, and live in the only moment of time over which you have any control: now.” Amelia Earhart was feeling it when she said, “The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.”  Big Momma just simply said, “Baby, it’s yo life, what you gone do with it?”

Well, the Black Mamba guaranteed boyz that the Lakers would make the playoffs even though they looked a hot mess a month ago. With a 99-98 win over the Hawks on Sunday they’re sitting at .500! For those that had problems in math and can’t understand what that is. They’ve got the same number of wins as losses bruh! In other words, if you stack bricks up in two piles they have to be the same height playboy. They’re 30-30 at this point and one game out of the 8th playoff spot in the West.

Kobe put these cats on his back and scored 11 or his 34 points in the fourth quarter and hit a layup to take the lead with 9 seconds left. However, the show stoppa came when ole boy drove past Josh Smith and threw down a one handed yoke like he was 25 instead of 34! The Mamba is in the building!

As much as I dislike this cat for being a snitch or like Big Momma used to say “being a mouth keeper”, that’s short for keeping other folks name in his mouth i.e. Shaq, I can’t hate on his game bruh! So since we’re only talking "game," Ima give him a pass today. Hey, don't look at me funny! If you were ridin' dirty and you saw that dun walking down the street. You wouldn't pull over and give him a ride either. That's real talk!

"I just had to attack," Bryant said. "I wanted to attack and just go right at them. Take the game to them. Be aggressive. Be physical. And it worked out."

Kobe’s aggression sparked his supporting cast to have solid performances too. Steve Nash put 15 in the kitty and threw in 10 dimes while Buster Brown came through with a measly 11 points. That's just enough to buy the chips and salsa but he did grab 15 boards so boyz will let him stay for the party... this time.

I know y’all feeling me on that? Don’t you hate when you have a party when most REAL cats come through with a case of whatever duns are drinking and it never fails that some clown rings the doorbell and hands you some chips and walks in. That’s Dwight Howard bruh. I’m just sayin’!

Now let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! In order for the Lakers to make the playoffs they’ve got to win another 18 games. Normally the team in the 8th spot wins about 48 games. If they can get in they’ve got a legitimate shot at doing something in the first round against San Antonio. Why? Because Tony Parker will be sidelined with an ankle injury for at least a month. When he does come back he won’t be in any game shape for at least another month and he’s the engine that makes the Spurs run.

So at this point all the Lakers have to do is make the playoffs to make it a respectable season because they could literally get to the 2nd round in the West before the wheels come off of the joint! In the meantime and in between time it should be fun to watch Kobe put these boyz on his back and give Buster Brown the business for not taking the hunt seriously because you know that he won’t! He'll be the dun in the middle of the forest when the buffalo runs up with his bullets are still in his pockets! Stop me when I start lyin'!

The G Code

"Momma I don't know why he keeps messin' with me?"
The famous rapper Mos Def once said, “I’m not shy about heated debate or passionate discourse, but when people get crazy or rude, that’s a buzz kill. There’s got to be a better code of conduct, some basic etiquette.” The famous TV producer Dick Wolf broke it down like this, “I was raised not to be rude, but I also try to get the best work out of people.” Big Momma just kept it simple by saying, “Baby you gotta treat folks the way you wanna be treated.”

Well ole Kobe Bryant could learn a thing or two about how to handle people from all three of them. Y’all already know how I feel about the Black Mamba and if you didn’t let me say it again! He’s a straight up "Mark" because he violated the G Code years ago when he put Shaq on blast! Boyz wanna give him a pass because he’s won 5 NBA titles but he never would have won them without Phil’s ability to manage egos.

The Zen Master, as he’s been called, had the uncanny ability to keep major egos in check in order to avoid teams from imploding whether he was in Chicago or LA. Folks quickly forget that Mike was a fool too before Phil calmed him down. Remember, Jordan was constantly fighting with teammates literally and being thrown out of practice before Phil showed up on the west side of the Chi because he wanted more from his teammates but MJ didn’t know how to handle people.

Think about it playa, Phil kept Mike, Scottie and Rodman from killing each other. Especially Mike and Dennis because Rodman was a train wreck all of the time and he was able to keep that joint on the tracks without boyz all in the media talking crazy and throwing hands in the locker room.

Now that Phil isn’t in LA, Kobe is turning into Jordan pre 1989, the dun with great talent that couldn't win because he was a fool. On Thursday before they played the Celtics Kobe throws Buster Brown Dwight Howard completely under the bus by saying, “We don’t have time for Dwight’s shoulder to heal…We need some urgency.” Now did he say anything that wasn’t true? Not at all! However, you can’t say it publicly pimpin' because it ruins team chemistry! Then a couple days later he’s trying to act like boyz in the media are overreacting.

See if Dwight was a real G he would have body slammed Kobe already and then ole boy would know how to handle him. See a real cat isn’t gonna be toyed with regardless of how many rings the other guy has. I bet Kobe wouldn’t have called out duns like Charles Barkley, Kenyon Martin or my homeboy Glenn Robinson because he would have been playing with a swollen head and through one eye. Let him try that foolishness with Joakim Noah! That’s real talk!!

Let me give it to you where you can feel me playboy! If a dun pulls up in the ghetto pushin' a Phantom and gets out talking crazy to boyz because he's got more bread than anybody in the zip code. Will he get a pass because he's rich? Not at all! He'll get tore out of the frame and get his pockets emptied! So why do you think Kobe can talk crazy to a another grown man just because he's got 5 rings?

Kobe knows that he can talk crazy in the media about Buster Brown because he’s as soft as drug store cotton candy bruh! He obviously doesn't live by the G code which is, "I DEMAND respect because I don't hesitate to give it!" If I don't get it, in my Ray Gibson voice, "It's gone be some consequences and repercussions!"

Every time they stick a mic in his face he starts whining. “Well, they don’t know how much pain I’m in. He’s not a doctor. I’m gonna just leave it alone.”

Any time you’re a grown man and your old man has to come to your defense that’s a problem playboy! His dad told the Atlanta Journal Constitution that he was disappointed in the way Kobe came at his son and that D’Antoni didn’t do anything to stop or curtail it.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If a cat steals your sneakers out of your locker at school and you gotta go get your dad to get ‘em back for you it’s a wrap for you bruh! You may as well put the "Kick Me Please" sign on your back. At some point you have to stand up for yourself and this dun is like a marsh mellow in that locker room and the biggest buster of them all, Kobe Bryant, is walking all over him.

Don’t try to act like you don’t remember when Kobe got caught up on the sexual assault charge and the night he was arrested he violated the G Code by throwing Shaq under the bus and ole boy wasn’t even in the state.

Now I don’t condone cats cheating on their wives but I was taught as a toddler by my own mother that nobody likes a tattletale! As we got older the slogan became, “Keep my name outcha mouth homie!” In the new millennium it has become, “Snitches gets stitches!”  Once a boy shows you who they really are you can’t mess with him regardless of how many rings he’s got. That's why Shaq left him alone years ago! A mark is a mark is a mark! Do you really think Kobe would have won 5 rings without Phil playing in Denver? I'm just sayin'!

Screw Ball

"Naw bruh, I'm just focused on right now that's all!"

The French poet and novelist Anatole France once said, “It is well for the heart to be naïve and the mind not to be.” Julius Erving said it this way, “One of the most predictable things in life is there will be change. You are better off if you can have a say in the change. But you are ignorant or naïve if you don’t think there will be change, whether you want it to or not.”

The Los Angeles Lakers under Jim Buss has already made countless mistakes this season. They started the party off wrong by firing Mike Brown 5 games into the season without already having Phil locked down. So they had to hook up with the chick at the club that boyz always see but never holler at because she was a 5 at best and you could really wait and holler at her in the parking lot after you strike out with all the bad chicks.

Mike D’Antoni was 388-339 which was a .533 winning percentage when they hired him. Now the Lakers are 10th in the Western Conference which is 2 spots out of even making the playoffs. On Tuesday general manager Mitch Kupchak announced that the Lakers WILL NOT trade Buster Brown on or before the February 21st deadline.

Now I don’t know where these duns have been for the last year and a half when ole dull Dwight played Orlando like a fiddle only to bounce anyway. It’s like committing to the broad that has a serious reputation of playing the field because she promised you that you were the one. The crazy thing about it, Dwight isn’t saying a word so he‘s like the chick with a "TERRIBLE" rep in the streets that won‘t kiss because she says that it‘s too personal!

On July 1st he has the option of packing his bags and bouncing with no strings attached. So why would the Lakers as an organization take the chance of letting him walk and getting nothing for him? Like I said before in my Bernie Mac Playas Club voice, "Notin!, Notin!" It’s Cleveland and LeBron all over again pimpin'. Now I’m not mad at the player for keeping his options open and doing what’s best for him but the team has to protect themselves too. You saw how Cleveland got left at the alter didn’t you? For less money I might add!

So why give Dwight all of the power when you already suck as a team and Kobe’s only got another year or two left if you're lucky because he's already frustrated. Why put the franchise into a cats hands that is gonna burn you for sure? It’s LA playa! Showtime! The Lakers! It’s Hollywood homie! Who wouldn’t want to play for an organization that has won 16 titles which is the 2nd most in NBA history behind Boston? He'll be the king of a city full of celebrities and he's sitting in the cut? No way! You gotta cut 'em loose now or pay dearly for years to come!

It's like the dun that's dating the finest and richest chick in the country and she's settin' it out baring no expense to make him happy. However, he's unsure that he wants to commit long term! Instead, he'll pull a Jermaine Dupri and run down to the hood spot and get a stripper pregnant. There's something wrong with him bruh and she refuses to see it but Big Momma's been saying it for years.

Not only is it LA but the Lakers can offer Dwight the biggest contract out of all the possible suitors this summer. Those that will be looking to snag him are Atlanta, Houston and Dallas. They can only offer him roughly 4 years at $88 million and the Lakers are sitting on 5 years, $118 million to throw his way! So you do the math pimpin’! It’s LA, $30 million more and this dun is hee hawing around? You gotta trade him because he’s gonna screw you in the end.

Let's say you trade Pau, Kobe retires and Buster Brown walks. You're left with Metta World Peace and the Five Heart Beats and oh yeah, 147 year old Steve Nash.

We’ve already seen this movie before! When this cat walks you’ll be even worse off than before. Then how do you explain that one to Big Momma? If Momma ain’t happy nobody is. I can hear ole Buster Brown pulling into the complex now bumpin' that Ice Cube, "No Vaseline." In my Huggy Low Down voice, "Waaait for it!"

Foolish Hearts

"I'm still weighing my options playa! You can understand that!"

Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “Confidence…thrives on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. Without them it cannot live.” Ben Franklin sounded like an O.G. from around the way when he said, “There are three faithful friends, an old wife, an old dog, and ready money.” Chris Rock just made it easy to understand by saying, “A man is only as faithful as his options.”

If confidence thrives on honor, sacredness of obligation and unselfish performance then why are the Lakers still fooling around with Dwight Howard? If a man is only as faithful as his options, then why get into a relationship with ole wishy washy Dwight? Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak is still holding on to the possibility that they have a chance to sign Buster Brown to a long term deal.

Howard becomes an unrestricted free agent on July 1. That means that he can bounce without obligation to the Lakers and sign with another team. If he does, the Lakers get nothing in return for his services, zero, nadda, zip or in my Bernie Mac Players Club voice, "Notin!, Notin!" So boyz are gambling big time by keeping this clown around because we’ve seen this movie once before in Orlando.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! That’s like hooking up with the bad chick that every cat in school is chasing but she’s known to be a tease to some and a player to others. In other words, she's that girl that's always playing games with boyz. You finally reel her in and now that you’ve got her she’ll change her stripes because you’re the man. Yeah right! On some real talk, it’s like dating a woman while you both are married and then deciding that it’ll be better if you both got a divorce and got married instead of continuing to play this game. Then getting upset when she cheats on you. Dwight is who he is bruh, no matter how good you treat him!

If the Lakers have any sense they’ll ship him out of there quick, fast and in a hurry like Big Momma used to say. Otherwise, they’re gonna get left holding the empty bag of potato chips with ketchup at the bottom. That’s old school right there pimpn'. If you don’t know what I’m talking about don’t worry about it. If you didn’t get that one I know you won’t get them being left holding the Dill Pickle with a peppermint stuffed inside of it after some dun knocked it out of his hand falling off of the monkey bars.

This cat is already complaining about not getting shots, not liking D’Antoni’s system and everybody can see that he and Kobe are a “What you say to me?” away from scrappin’ every night! Kobe ain’t going nowhere until he’s good and ready homeboy so don’t even think about that!

Therefore, the Lakers can role the dice and lose or they can trade this mark and at least get something for him. Under normal circumstances the Lakers would be the place to be. After all, 50% of all NBA titles have been won by the Lakers and the Celtics. So being in LA makes sense for a star player but Jim Buss is dragging the team through the mud right now making terrible decisions. They are a mess and if Buster Brown has options he’d be a fool to sign a long term deal with the young ego-maniac son of a legendary owner. So the ball is in LA’s court! Be a fool or trade the fool but somebody’s gotta put on that hat playa!

Hoodwinked!

I'm just sayin' tho...! If we ain't winning..."

Last summer Laker fans were going crazy about the potential of their newly renovated squad. They made a huge trade for Buster Brown himself, Dwight Howard. Then they went out and got 137 year old Steve Nash to run the point. All I heard were boyz talking trash about how good this team would be and that they were automatically in the hunt for the NBA title! Like LeBron & Co. went out of business or something and were all of a sudden washing windows on South Beach.

The problem is they were listening to all of these clowns that report on sports that know absolutely nothing about sports! If you’ve been paying attention or have even been alive for the past 2 and a half years you knew that the combination of Kobe and Dwight wasn’t going to work. I tried to tell you boyz  last summer that it wouldn’t work but y’all keep listening to the talking heads just talking.

Dwight Howard is a straight up buster that can’t make up his mind on what he ever wants to do. He strung Orlando out for nearly 2 years just trying to make a decision on whether he would stay or leave. Kobe Bryant is the old guy on the job that’s about to retire so whatever comes up comes out. There is no filter with this cat at this point. So you can't put those two together and expect it to work. The personalities are on opposite extremes bruh and they can't peacefully co-exist. It would be cool if it was all about Kobe and he could win by himself but he can’t. At some point these two are going to squab right in the locker room because the old man is going to say something crazy to the young boy and Kobe will come out looking like a bobble head. Trust me!

He’s already making comments like, “Pau needs to put his big boy pants on” and I’ll kick everybody’s ass in this locker if we don’t fix things” etc. Winning has more to do with team chemistry than anything! You can’t keep calling boyz out in the media and expect them to respond positively. If nothing else a REAL cat would be sitting in his locker with his hands around Kobe's throat. It’s cool to go off behind closed doors but to publicly blast folks takes it to a whole different level homeboy and if he’s not ready for what comes with that he needs to simmer down like the old timers used to say.

Sure he's got 5 rings and is the team leader but Dwight is Dwight and you can't change that! His personality doesn't respond to the tough guy talk etc! So when he snaps I just wanna see the look on Kobe's face when the monster gets loose! He's going to be like the kid that's been throwing rocks at the neighbors dog and the chain finally breaks. I'd say give it about 60 games or so! Hilarious!

See Pau isn’t gonna get down like that because he’s not from here and is wired differently. Buster Brown is but he’s weak mentally so Kobe feels empowered to keep talking crazy to these duns. However, at some point the little man with the horns is gonna stand up on Dwight's shoulder and say, "Man you how long you gone let this cat keep talking crazy to you? I wouldn't take that if I were you!" At that point he's gonna to snap and fire on The Black Mamba. Put that on ya momma!

After only 17 games and an 8-9 start Buster Brown is already talking about throwing in the towel in LA. In a recent interview he said, "So I want to do it the best that I can and I'm going to take everything in I can to get what I can out of the NBA. Which, for me, is winning a championship. So if I have to play on another team or do whatever I have to do to get one, that's my goal. This is my passion, so I'll continue to fight."

Now for a cat to say that 17 games in it’s about to be a fight in that locker room because you know Kobe can’t hold his tongue right about now. Oh yeah, Steve Nash is propped up in the corner on that bad leg smelling like Ben Gay, moth balls and dentures watching the whole thing go down.

Did I forget to mention that Jim Buss is running the team like Willie Wonka and the Ump Lumpa’s have taken over the joint? D’Antoni is a mediocre coach at best that doesn't know the first thing about managing personalities and Phil is sitting at the crib laughing at these boyz! I would say that I feel sorry for #LakerNation but I don’t because they really believe that it’s going to work itself out! In the famous words of Malcolm X, “ You’ve been hoodwinked! Bamboozled! Led astray! Ran amok!” The jokes on you homeboy!

Location, Location, Location!

I'm not sure if the uniform does anything for my reputation. I'm still a buster !
The most important element in the real estate game is location, location, location! In order to win in that business you've got to understand that concept. I once read where the founder of McDonald's, Ray Kroc, said that he wasn't in the hamburger business. He was in the real estate business because he owned all of the property that his restaurants sat on. Do you realize that the vision for McDonald's is to have a joint every five minutes apart? As long as they are readily assessable they'll continue to win. That's called being smarter than the competition bruh!

Well on Thursday evening the LA Lakers proved once again that they were smarter than the competition too and that location, location, location is a major factor in doing business. In a block buster 4 team trade they finally acquired "Buster Brown" Dwight HowardA source with direct knowledge of the trade told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that Nuggets will get Andre' Iguodala, the 76'rs will get Jason Richardson and Andrew Bynum, the Magic will pick up Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington and Nikalo Vucevic and one future protected 1st round pick from each team. They will also get the 76'rs 1st round draft pick Moe Hackless!

Now Howard still hasn't agreed to sign a long term deal with the Lakers but because they're LA they figure once I get this boy out here and he see's what Hollywood looks and feels like he'll commit long term. You know when he walks into the building they'll be bumpin' that ole school Bootsy Collins "Hollywood Squares! "Um LA Californ-I-A! City of Angels, Hollywood!"

Once he gets a taste of the Hollywood lifestyle and all of the celebrities at the games kissing his butt he ain't going nowhere bruh! He'll be hooked like a dope fiend in the ghetto and will forget all about dreams of playing in Brooklyn! Give him 6 months in LA and he won't know how to spell Brooklyn.

I keep telling you boyz that players don't win championships, organizations do as I explained in the Hot Joint entitled "The Firm." There is a reason why two NBA franchises have won more than 50% of all of the titles. Boston has won 17 and LA has won 16 of them. Why? Because they are in major cities, thus location, location, location and they have been better run historically than the other teams in the league.

It's easy for LA to acquire and keep talent because of the location and the championship history of the franchise. Boyz go to LA to play out the remainder of their careers for the most part. You've never hear of cats asking to be traded out of LA! Yeah, Kobe pulled a punk bluff move a few years ago and what did they do? They went out and robbed Memphis of Paul Gasol and kept it movin'! They're always going to get whatever they want bruh because it's LA and I'm not mad at them. Sure, David Stern blocked the Chris Paul trade last year but he was protecting his investment. That was a very rare situation but for the most part they can get whatever they want because of smarts and location!

Lets keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The addition of both Howard and Steve Nash instantly makes LA a better squad. However, they're still the 2nd best team in the West! The Young Bloods are still the team to beat out there bruh! So unfortunately for LA they made a great move but the timing was bad.

Yes, Buster Brown is the best center in the league physically but he's still weak mentally. Playing with Kobe now will only expose him as the buster that I've been saying that he is. Any cat that can't make up his mind is weak. The Black Mamba will be very demanding of him and he'll fall apart and quit on them just like he did in Orlando. Also both Steve and Kobe are getting old and the Young Bloods are just getting better. The average age of their starting line up is 24. They've been to the Finals so they know what it takes to get there. Therefore, in my opinion, LA just upgraded for TV purposes because OKC is still the Don of the conference. Under normal circumstances it would have been a great move but they just can't overcome the youth and talent of OKC!

Don't even think about winning a title for at least 3 or 4 years as long as Miami is still playing in the NBA. Not only is the King still sitting on the throne but he's got Bosh, D. Wade and a host of out of town shooters on the roof. They got snipers, if you will, in Ray Allen (24 mins a night), Rashard Lewis, Shane Battier and Mike Miller. You can't get anywhere near the crib to steal the trophy because these boyz are going to pick you off as soon as you step onto the property. So congrats LA for the upgrade but you could have kept Bynum for what it's gonna do for you because right now, South Beach is prime real estate!
