Well playas...the more I talk to duns out here the more I realize that Voltaire wasn't lyin'! Common sense isn't so common!! After boyz announced on Friday that Luke Walton took the Lakers job cats started givin' their opinions on whether the dun should have taken the job or not! I got into a huge debate with some cats that said Walton should have sat in the cut and waited on a job to come open next because the Lakers gig was a bad job!! WHAT!!!?
Let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes1st! Before I even address this foolishness! Understand that no first head coachin' job in the NBA is a bad job! Why? Because it's only 30 of those FREAKIN' positions in the world! Do you realize that there of hundreds of thousands of duns coachin' basketball around the world and there are only 30 people that get to coach in the NBA! So stop with the foolishness that it's a bad job!! You sound like a fool even suggestin' it.
Secondly, he wanted to be a head coach today bruh, not next year!!! Who in their right mind passes up a job that pays GUARANTEED bread to wait until next year to gamble on whether a freakin' job is goin' to open up. He's hot right now!! AND IT'S THE LAKERS!!!!!
I don't care how bad the team is right now it's the darn LAKERS bruh!!!! There are three brands in the world of sports that you don't turn down especially if you're lookin' for your first job!!! THE YANKEES, THE COWBOYS and THE LAKERS!!! It doesn't get any bigger than those brands in sports!!!
The reason that the freakin' job was open in the first place is because the team was horrible!! Jobs don't come open when the team is good! Golden State was an anomaly. Mark Jackson stuck his foot in his mouth and got fired for talkin' too much and offended his boss. They won 62 games that year. Steve Kerr walked into a gold mine! That doesn't normally happen bruh!
So any open job is goin' to be "bad" initially because the team sucks! ALABAMA was trash when Nick Saban took over. But it was an established brand with national titles in the joint! So it was fixable! Oklahoma was trash when Bob Stoops got there! But it was already one of the winningest programs in college football history with nationals titles. So it was fixable! Michigan was trash when Harbaugh got there! But it's MICHIGAND bruh! It's fixable!!!
The Lakers have won 50 percent of all of the NBA championships!!! It'a fixable!! And to tell a dun that's 36 years old that is as hot as a firecracker not to take the job is asinine!!! What is he gonna wait for next year for? The Lakers is the biggest brand in the NBA!!! And he gets a chance to be the head coach today. Not next year.
Then these clowns tried to convince me that they hired him on the cheap because the duns at Fortune magazine said so by tryin' to compare his salary to Greg Popovich's! Whoever wrote that article needs to get kicked in their butt with big momma's steal toe boots. Greg Popovich has been a head coach in the NBA since 1996! For all of you simple minded individuals, that's 20 years! And he's won 5 NBA championships and have been named Coach of the Year 3 times!!! Pop just signed a new 4 year extension in July of 2014 that pays him $11 million per year!
Luke Walton has never coached a freakin' day in his life and he signed a 5 year deal (4 guaranteed) that will pay him $5 million per year!!! Okay, if you wanna count the 43 games he was the interim at Golden State this year go right ahead. But those 43 games got him $5 million per year. The average NBA coach makes $3.05 million per year!! So therefore, he's makin' more money out of the gate than most coaches in the league! What are you talkin' about? You sound like a complete fool butt naked foamin' at the mouth tryin' to convince me that he should have waited until next year to take a job.
It's the LAKERS!!! It's Hollywood! The Staples Center! He's the celebrity among celebrities bruh! The only reason the Lakers suck right now is because of a dun named Kobe Bean Bryant!! Nobody wanted to play with him over the past 4 years. No free agent dared to go out there and deal with his foolishness. He was convinced that he was still the number one option until this past November when he started makin' a fool of himself shootin' air balls etc. Then he called Olivia Pope to help him write that dull "Dear Basketball" letter to get boyz up off of him so that he could go out with lookin' like a fool and it worked.
Now they can rebuild in LA and move forward. Why? Because the biggest brand in basketball is fixable just like the Alabama and Oklahoma football was and the Yankees!! The Cowboys will never win because Jerry Jones is the problem. He's a genius at brandin' and makin' money but he's always in the way of boyz tryin' to make football decisions. However, if you're a hot new head coachin' candidate, the Cowboys come callin' and they're payin' you $2 million above the league average you're gonna take it. I guarantee you that!!
So when a dun tries to tell you that Luke Walton shouldn't have taken the job and waited until next year because it was bad. Kick that fool in the face and keep it movin'! Stop me when I start lyin'!
