Just Got Real (How Kyle Lowry kept it ALL the way 100 with the Pacers)

"Get off of me son! I got this tonight!"
Thomas Jefferson once said, “War is an instrument entirely inefficient toward redressing wrong; and multiplies, instead of indemnifying losses.” Sam Walton broke it down like this, “You can make a lot of mistakes and still recover if you run an efficient operation. Or you can be brilliant and still go out of business if you’re too inefficient.” Then Bill Gates spoke like a true O.G. when he said, “The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.”

Well playas…the automation of the Toronto Raptors applied on Monday night to the Indiana Pacers magnified their inefficiency ten-fold. Kyle Lowry and Co. was on autopilot as they ran through Bankers Life Fieldhouse and beat the brakes off of the Pacers 117-98.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The Raptors had only won 2 out of their last 12 games comin’ into the joint and boyz probably took them for granted. So as Kyle and Co. saw these duns sleepin’ at the wheel they swooped and hit ‘em up real quick as they slid up on the side of the ride. Lowry went off for a triple-double and got them for 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to set the tone. Louis Williams got at them for a smooth 24 and DeMar DeRozan leaned into them for 22!

Here was the inefficiency of the Pacers playboy! The most efficient and productive bench in the league only brought 28 points to the party. In other words, they showed up empty handed to Big Momma’s cookout. Then they shot a mere 10 percent as a team from behind the arc when Toronto lit them up at 52 percent from the same distance. You can’t win a boy shootin’ like that playa and the dun on the other side is drainin’ ‘em.

The crazy thing about it was that the Pacers only had 4 turnovers all night! Wheredeydodatat? I can’t ever remember them havin’ so few turnovers in a quarter let alone a freakin’ game! In terms of bein’ efficient with holdin’ on to the ball they were outstandin’ but they just couldn’t shoot that joint from downtown.

George Hill went nuts to lead the Pacers with 23 points. However, he had 17 in the first half but went ice cold in the second goin’ 1 of 4 from the field. Rodney Stuckey dropped his usual 20 points in the hat and even “Skittles and Lemonheads” showed up with 17 points and 7 rebounds.

Clearly not bein’ able to knock down 3’s hurt a boy on Monday night. You can’t go 2 of 19 from three and win when Toronto goes 12 of 23 from the same spot. It is what it is playboy! You’ve got to boot up and keep bangin’ at this point. The Pacers are in a 3-way tie for the 8th and final playoff spot with Miami and Boston. So it just got REAL pimpin’! Boyz have to have a short memory and put that joint behind them. Up next Chicago and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:
1) O.G.: noun – short for Original Gangsta. The old wise cat in the streets that knows the hustle better than everybody else because he’s been around longer and seen more.
2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc.
3) Ride: noun – car, vehicle
4) Wheredeydodatat?: Hood for, “Who does that?”
5) Skittles and Lemonheads: noun – ole dull Roy Hibbert. I call him that because more often than not that dun is sittin’ in the back seat of the ride eatin’ Skittles and Lemonheads while the rest of the boyz are out in the street bangin’ tryin’ to get a win. He’s got on some Luther Vandross with his foot hangin’ out of the window. So “Skittles and Lemonheads” it is playa!
6) Pimpin’: noun – the person that I’m passionately tryin’ to get my point across to.
