Train Wreck (Why Dan Snyder is solely RESPONSIBLE for the foolishness that is RGIII)

RGIII: "You know Ima do what I wanna do right? Snyder: "Yep!"
Hilaire Belloc, the Anglo-French writer and historian, once said, “I have wandered all my life, and I have also traveled; the difference between the two being this, that we wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment.” Ramana Maharshi, the Indian sage, gave it to us like this, “When there are thoughts, it is distraction: when there are no thoughts, it is meditation.” Then Tom Kite, the pro golfer, poured out a liquor for all the dead homies when he spit, “You can always find a distraction if you’re looking for one.”

Well playas…if the Washington Redskins are lookin’ for a distraction they’ve certainly got one in a dun rockin’ plats sittin’ on their bench! RGIII’s latest tomfoolery occurred on Monday night after bein’ benched as the team announced earlier that Kirk Cousins would be the starter. This clown “liked” an Instagram post that ripped Washington, owner Dan Snyder and the front office.

So then tries to CHB, that's cover his butt for all of you simple minded individuals, as he posts on Instagram “I JUST WANTED TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT.” He then tries to tell a boy that it wasn’t him that “liked” the joint but it was an intern instead. Really bruh? The old "it wasn’t me" excuse.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Anybody that has raised kids durin’ this social media explosion has heard that foolishness before. “Dad it wasn’t me it was my boy that posted that.” Naw playa, here’s the best joint that will fall out of a boy’z mouth in a minute, “Somebody hacked my account!”

Rob Parker tried to tell you boyz a few years ago that RGIII was a gump but all ESPN did was fire him over it. He told you that he was a “cornball” brother but you wouldn’t listen. So guess who’s lookin’ like a genius this mornin’? Freakin’ Rob Parker!!! Why is bein' a gump and a cornball so important to this situation you ask? It's because if you're a cornball you're the black guy that doesn't want to associate with other blacks. Well...that's a problem if 70 percent of your freakin' team is black playboy!

Before Rob unleashed on him on national television I told you the night he won the Heisman that he was a “gump” because he showed up with plats in his head. Look it up bruh, I wrote it on December 1, 2011 in a joint entitled "Immortalized." I’ll say it until the day I die that all you’ve got to do it look at his hair cut and it’ll tell you everything that you NEED to know about RGIII.

You already know that Big Momma called him before he left for NYC to receive the Heisman to tell him to cut his freakin’ hair because he was gonna be on national TV and the picture that they’re gonna take will be immortalized forever. “And baby you don’t wanna have plats on a picture like that.”

The fact that he wouldn’t listen to that type of sound advice from Big Momma told me that he wasn’t capable of listenin’ to anybody tellin’ him what he needed to do to become a better quarterback. His hair is an outward extension of his inward defiance playa. I’m not tellin’ you what I heard playboy! I’m tellin’ you what I know! And I told you that 4 years ago but you wouldn’t listen just like you wouldn’t listen to Rob Parker.

Now we’re sittin’ here watchin’ a dun completely implodin’ before our eyes and boyz can’t figure out why. Well…everybody except me and Rob!

When a dun that’s been coachin’ in the NFL for years, pick one… any one, tells you that you need to slide or throw the freakin’ ball away to avoid injury and a boy continues to be defiant then he’s what the experts call “uncoachable.” It’s not rocket science here bruh and it didn’t take 4 years to figure out.

The Redskins are in this situation because of the dun that owns the freakin’ team. Don’t blame RGIII for bein’ “Hard Headed” because he was hard headed when they drafted him. He was a gump when you signed him! He was a cornball when Dan Snyder decided to pick up the final year of his contract that will pay him $16.12 million in 2016. Don’t look at RGIII pimpin’! Look at the dun that was pig headed enough to extend his deal. Look at the dun that won’t cut his losses and move on. Everybody in the buildin’ wants to cut RGIII but Dan Snyder refuses to let it happen.

This ain’t RGIII’s fault! This is Dan Snyder’s fault! What’s the old wise colloquialism? “Birds of a feather flock together.” Or the hood version, “Real gangstas move in silence in the same ride.” Dan Snyder is the same cat that refuses the change the name of the team when he knows that it’s offensive to Native Americans. So why are we surprised that he refuses to cut a boy that is nothin’ more than a distraction to his team if he NEVER makes sense with anything else. This ain’t on RGIII!!!!!

Dan Snyder is probably THEE WORST football owner in the NFL next to Jerry Jones!!Sure, they’re teams are gettin’ bread especially the Cowboys that are worth more than $3 billion at this point but they typically are a train wreck on the field. The latest Jerry Jones foolishness was gettin’ rid of DeMarco Murray and addin’ always hurt Darren McFadden. Yeah, good luck with that playa. Sure, the Cowboys have been better lately but holler at me when they actually consistently win in the playoffs again. But Dan Snyder is a complete train wreck ALL OF THE TIME with the personnel decisions he makes and RGIII is just the latest. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:
1) Spit: verb – to say
2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
3) Gump: adjective – it’s the cat that nobody likes in the hood because he’s corny and just won’t listen to boyz try to help him. He thinks he knows it all only to make a fool of himself.
4) Cornball: adjective – the brother that refuses to associate with other brothers. The cat that purposely distances himself from black folks and he’s black.
5) Pimpin’: noun – the person that I’m passionately tryin’ to get my point across to.

Hard Headed (Why RGIII won't be a good QB in the NFL until he gets afreakin' hair cut)

"I'm still not listenin' to y'all bruh!"
Christopher Hicthens, the English author and literary critic, once said, “There are all kinds of stupid people that annoy me but what annoys me most is a lazy argument.” Samuel Goldwyn, the famous Hollywood film producer, gave it to us like this, “Give me a smart idiot over a stupid genius any day.” Voltaire, the 17th century writer and philosopher, shut the buildin’ down when he spit some serious fire with, “To succeed in the world it is not enough to be stupid, you must also be well-mannered.”

Well playas…ole RGIII must be followin’ Voltaire’s advice to the freakin’ letter because he’s definitely stupid and well-mannered. That may have worked in the 17th century but it ain’t workin’ today playboy! He always says what he thinks boyz wanna hear instead of bein’ genuine with his answers. He’s been doin’ that foolishness since his days at Baylor. Well, on Monday this dun jumped out of the freakin’ birthday cake and told reporters that he feels like he’s the best QB in the NFL and now he has to prove it. Then has the nerve to turn around on Tuesday and have a slight attitude with boyz for runnin’ with the headline that he provided! Wheredeydodatat?

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This is the real world you’re in playa! So it doesn’t matter what you feel like you are! This ain’t Alice in Wonderland. In the real world you either are the best or you aren’t. Period! “Ain’t no in between.” To even make that statement reiterates what I’ve been sayin’ about this dun since he was at Baylor. He’s a phony!

Every time someone puts a camera in his face he’s says what he thinks they want to hear. Ole boy Rob Parker was even fired from ESPN for callin’ him a “Cornball Brother." Now all of the brothers new exactly what he was sayin’ but the powers that be didn’t quite understand so it cost him his job. But in reality he is corny bruh because of this type of foolishness and the fact that he won't listen to reason.

What type of grown man tells a group of reporters that he feels like he’s the best quarterback in the NFL when all he’s accomplished was Rookie of the Year honors and now he can’t stay healthy because he’s hard headed.

He keeps gettin’ banged up because he won’t listen to the freakin’ coaches and every dun around him about runnin’ out of bounds and not takin’ unnecessary hits. However, because he’s hard headed by nature he keeps gettin’ blasted and missin’ time.

On the mornin’ after RGIII won the Heisman Trophy I wrote a Hot Joint entitled “Immortalized” tellin’ all of you cats why he was hard headed and wouldn’t succeed at the next level but you wouldn’t listen. The fact that he showed up to win the Heisman, and there wasn’t any doubt that he wouldn’t win it, with those freakin’ plats in his head told me everything that I needed to know about him.

Now you and everybody’s baby’s momma’s momma knows that if nothin’ else Big Momma pulled that dun to the side a week before the Heisman Trophy Ceremony and told him to cut those plats out of his head because his picture would be immortalized. “Baby…you don’t wanna look like that on that picture forever. So you need to cut your hair.”

He had PLATS bruh! Not corn rolls! Not dreads! Not a freakin' Jheri Curl! HE HAD SOME COUNTRY BAMA PLATS! NOBODY WEARS PLATS BRUH!!! That's some ole back water type-foolishness! So for him to fly to New York City to accept the Heisman Trophy with plats in his head told me that he would struggle in the NFL because he has a problem takin’ advice from people that know more than he does. And low and behold here we are.

He won’t listen to folks that are tryin’ to tell him what’s best for him. If he wouldn’t listen to Big Momma he’s not listenin’ to ANYBODY else and that’s the reason why he sounds like a fool tellin’ boyz that he feels like he’s the best QB in the NFL. Because he won't listen to boyz that can help him get better.

This fool doesn’t even have the self-awareness to realize that he’s playin’ in the same league as Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Breeze, Aaron Rogers, Big Ben, Tony Romo etc. So he can’t feel like anything bruh! That’s like me sayin’ that I feel like I can beat LeBron in a game of one-on-one. That’s like me sayin’ that I feel like I can beat Usain Bolt in a sprint to Ms. Laddie’s mailbox. He sounds stupid!

Then Jay Gruden, his head coach, tried to defend him by sayin’ that he understood what ole boy was sayin’ because DeSean Jackson made the comment before that he was uncoverable. What? DeSean Jackson has a resume of makin’ fools out of boyz in this league. Stop it! You sound crazy? RGIII has done NOTHIN’ but get blasted tryin’ to outrun a boy!

Before he can even become one of the best QB’s in the NFL he’s gotta go see my homeboy Bill Co. in the G to cut those freakin’ plats off. Cuttin’ that foolishness off of his head will be the beginnin’ for his transformation to bein’ a solid quarterback in the NFL. Why? Because it will tell the world that he’s willin’ to take some advice from people that know more than he does. It is IMPOSSIBLE to become great if you're unwilling to listen to folks that know more than you do. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Three Dollar Bill (The REAL reason RGIII can officially be considered a bust now)

Stick a fork in him bruh! He's done!
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.” Amelia Earhart gave it to us like this, “The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.” Then Tony Robbins, self-help guru, poured out a lil’ liquor for all of the dead homies with, “A real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken a new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided.”

Will pimpin’…the Washington Redskins have truly decided because they are plannin’ to bench ole dull RGIII for this Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. The word on the street is that they are lookin’ to start Colt McCoy instead.

Now let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I told you boyz a month ago in the Hot Joint entitled “Foot Controls” that McCoy should be the starter after he went on the road and beat Dallas on Monday Night Football. However, all of the Redskins apologists told me that I was crazy and jumpin’ the gun.

Colt McCoy took control of that offense and played like a veteran was supposed to and beat a very good Cowboys team in Big Momma’s house while she was sittin’ on the couch eatin’ Funyuns. There’s something to be said about that playa. RGIII is terrible behind center and most importantly he’s hard headed. He’s been in the league for three years and still doesn’t know how to slide! If nothin’ else he’ll never stay healthy because he’s apparently addicted to gettin’ hit because he won’t go down or run out of freakin’ bounds.

I told you boyz when he was at Baylor that I didn’t like him because he was as fake as a three dollar bill with George Washington wearin’ a Mohawk and a gold tooth in his mouth on the front and Kevin Hart gettin’ beat up by Jameis Winston on the back. Every time he stood up in front of the media he gave a rehearsed answer and these ole dull media type cats fell for it hook, line and sinker.

I guess it’s because I grew up with a bunch a hustlas and thieves that I can spot a boy runnin’ game a mile away. So I knew that all of the RGIII hype was just that. I told you that all of the real cats in that locker room weren’t gonna like him but you wouldn’t listen. Rob Parker tried to tell you too but ESPN fired him for tellin’ the world that ole boy was a corny brother. And please understand this playa, bein’ able to speak the freakin’ king’s English articulately doesn’t make you corny. Corny is the dun that is tryin’ to make people believe that he’s somethin’ that he’s not. The one dead giveaway on RGIII is the freakin’ plats bruh! Any brother wearin’ plats is country.

They don’t wear plats anywhere but in the country bruh. He’s not wearin’ cornrows, braids or dreads playa. He’s wearin' plats. As a matter of fact, they stop wearin’ plats 40 years ago even in the freakin’ country. So when a boy stands up and tries to act like he’s Mr. Sophisticated and he's rockin' plats, you know that it’s a sham.

RGIII’s inability to play like a superstar isn’t the problem in that locker room. His problem is bein’ the cat that likes to separate himself from the rest of the fellas. If you notice, every time he opens his mouth it’s him vs. them. Real cats don’t like that one bit. You can’t act like you’re better than the rest of the group and expect for the group to hold you down. Not as the quarterback playboy!

If he were playin’ defensive tackle or offensive guard it wouldn’t make a difference because he’s not considered the face of the franchise. If he were playin’ any other position it wouldn’t make a difference to the rest of the team if he was a jerk, but at quarterback you’ve got to be all in for the team or at least act like it.

In the famous words of the homie MC Breed, “Ain’t No Future In Yo Frontin’!” RGIII is officially a bust! Why? Because he is who he is! You can’t change who you are bruh. He may someday become a better quarterback but the cats on his team will never like him because of his fake personality. You can’t lead and be fake at the same time bruh! Stop me when I start lyin’ and ESPN owes Rob Parker an apology this mornin’ and his bread back.

"Where all the playas play!

Chompin' (RGIII's desire gets TALL Respect)

"I can't wait to play bruh but I'm still not cutting it Jay!"

Confucius says, “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential…these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.” Napoleon Hill, one of the earliest producers of the modern genre of personal-success, stood up and said, “Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything.” Then my man Bill Cosby shut the building down with, “In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.”

I hope all of you Chicago Bulls fans have been paying attention to boyz like Adrian Peterson, Darrelle Revis and RGIII when you start making excuses for ya boy Derrick Rose. The difference between all of those cats and Rose is desire. RGIII especially, has been in a battle with Mike Shanahan just to play preseason games bruh.

Not regular season games! Not games that count! We talkin’ bout… preseason games! Not the games, not the games that I love. But preseason games! Excuse me bruh, I had an Allen Iverson flashback there for a minute. Now on some real talk, no way should Shanahan have McDodo Braids on the field during the preseason. It makes no sense at all to take a chance on injury in games that don’t count. However, if by week 1 this dun is still chompin’ at the bit and the doctors say that he’s good then let him loose.

It was shameful to see Derrick Rose just sit and watch his team battle from February, when he was cleared, until their gallant playoff exit against the Heat and that dun seemed not to care. He should have at least had the desire to play 5 to 10 minutes a night to get back into the groove and then by playoff time he would have been in shape and ready to go or not. At least his desire would have shown up and told the world that he was a competitor.

I think that if "DoDo" is going to play week 1 against Philly that he shouldn’t take unnecessary chances on the field. The direction should be to throw that joint away if nothing is open. Don’t try to make something happen with your feet. Don’t get into traffic if you can help it and run out of bounce whenever possible at least until you're comfortable.

Ima keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I’ve got no respect for a cat that says, “I’m not mentally ready to play yet.” That is the weakest line EVER spoken in the world of sports at any level playa. I don’t care if a guy is ready or not but he should always have the desire to play and Derrick Rose proved to the world that he didn’t. I would even give RGIII, A.D. and Revis a pass for not wanting to jump the gun because not only do they play an extremely dangerous contact sport but the bread isn’t guaranteed at all. So if they come back, get hurt and end their careers they’re Prince purple pants butt out.

D. Rose’s money is guaranteed and he just signed a $95 million joint with the Bulls in November of 2011 and a $200 million joint with Adidas in February of 2012. Did you hear me say that all of it was guaranteed? Well, let me say it again, "it’s all guaranteed playboy!" That means for all you slow thinkin’ individuals out there, he’s got nothing to lose by playing. So his ends are meetin’ like the Browns and those dull patent leather shoes. The only reason boyz don’t take chances in professional sports is because of their fear of getting hurt before that major contract is signed. Once they get the bread it’s time to ball out and ole boy never even tried. Either he has no heart or he has no heart because he can't stand up to his brother that's really calling the shots.

Understand this playa, DNA has allowed Derrick Rose to become D. Rose up to this point. He got out of the bed better than 99% of cats breathing. Now desire will have to take him from this point forward. If you don't possess it, you don't possess it. They don't sell it at Wal-Mart or  at the vitamin store bruh, either it's locked into your DNA or it's not. Some cats get the combo meal that includes talent, desire and a drink and some get either/or without the drink.

So I’m giving the man with the terrible hair cut major props for even wanting to play in the preseason because he showed the world that he at least has the desire to play. I’m still looking at hittin’ is crib like the Fed’s at about 4AM to tie him up and cut his hair though. Big Momma has been cursing about it since he immortalized his Heisman Trophy photo with those joints. I’m tired of listening to her hollering every time he’s on TV.

Y’all know I’m tellin’ the truth because your Big Momma, Nana, Grammy, Mamo, Mema or whatever you call her is cursing too. “I don’t know why that boy won’t do something with his hair? He got too much money to be walking around lookin' like that!” She would be cool if they were corn rows or dreads but this dun is rockin’ plats! Plats bruh! They stopped wearing plats in '74 even in the country pimpin'! All jokes aside, I still have tall respect for him because of his extreme desire to get back on the field and lead his team.  I'm preachin but y'all sleepin' in the pews and Big Momma is gonna pinch that thigh in a minute!

The Break Up (Iverson finally set to retire)

"I don't know bruh, maybe I should become a rapper now? I got at least 2 chains!"
Albert Einstein once said, “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” Lao Tzu, the ancient Chinese philosopher, sounded like one of the O.G.’s when he said, “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” In other words playa, the streets will tell you when the game has passed you by playboy.

According to reports, 38 year old Allen Iverson is set to retire in the coming days. He’s finally come to terms with the fact that his sneakers are for fashion only these days. Ole boy has been holding on to the hope that he could lace them boyz up again in the NBA but like I always say, “Ain’t but one cat undefeated and that’s Father Time pimpin’!”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Does this dun really have to say that he’s going to retire? He hasn’t played in the NBA since 2010 bruh. He hasn’t played professionally since 2011 in Turkey. Normally when you aren’t playing and nobody picks you up, you’re already retired homeboy!

It’s like you breaking up with your girl three years ago and she’s just now calling you up to tell you that she’s no longer dating you and is about to move on. What? Look here playa, when the Denver Nuggets shipped you to Detroit in ’08 and then you showed up in Memphis a few months later only to find yourself in Philly a few months after that, it was pretty much over then bruh. The fat lady was climbing through your window singing "I'm Every Woman" and you weren't paying attention.

If the stint in Turkey wasn’t some old school smelling salt for you, I don’t know what else the NBA could have done to tell you that you guys were no longer a couple. Back in February they pulled an old playa move on him by offering him an opportunity to play in the Developmental League.

You know how a boy does when he really don’t wanna mess with the chick anymore but he doesn’t want her to be mad at him. So he tells her, let’s take it slow and see how it goes but he has no intentions on getting back with her. He’ll just come through every now and then ‘til she gets interested in some other cat because you never know when the streets will get dry. Straight playa move right there homie!

Here's the answer for you "Answer" and for all of those ladies out here hounding boyz. If a boy is sitting next to the phone waiting to pick it up on the first ring like "ole Marcus darling" then you got him wide open. If he keeps letting that joint go to voicemail he's looking for a fresh set of legs!

Martin Luther King Jr. tried to holler at him but it went straight over his head when he spit this, “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.” So Big Momma finally came down the hall in her raggedy house coat and those torn up slippers that she’s been rockin' since the bus boycott and said, “What the man is trying to tell you baby is that you ought to sit you butt down and let these young boyz play. You done had yo turn already!”

Big Momma was right playboy and he’s got nothing to be ashamed of either. They listed that dun at 6’0” but he was all of 5’10” if he was an inch tall and he didn’t weigh but 100 lbs. soaking wet with a brick in his pocket and he became one of the best pound-for-pound scorers in NBA history. He averaged 26.7 ppg and 6.2 assists during his 14 year career. This cat was a former No.1 pick in the draft coming out of Georgetown and was the 1997 Rookie of the Year. He was the 2001 NBA MVP, a three time All-NBA First Team selection and a four-time scoring champion. So don't get it twisted, I got jokes but he was a beast when he was in his prime. He played with more heart than 99% of duns in the league now.

So he’s got nothing to hang his head over except those played out corn rows that he just won’t give up. Me and the fellas are gonna make a midnight run and climb through both he and RGIII’s windows at the same time like the Fed’s hitting two dope boyz in the ghetto and cut their hair. I think once he gets that burden off of his head he’ll be able to think straight and move on. Y’all can stop me when I start lyin’ playboy!

The quote under the caption isn’t real but its REAL talk!

Halfway Crook (McNabb is playin' himself!)

"I got this playboy! Go sit down somewhere!"

Maxwell Maltz, the famous cosmetic surgeon, once said, “Self-image sets the boundaries of individual accomplishment.” Edgar Allen Poe dropped this on boyz hangin’ out behind the liquor store near the projects, “The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins?” Old Man Mr. Joe selling peanuts on 25th and Broadway deep in the “G” kept it real when he said, “Sometime you gotta learn how to stay in yo lane patna!”

Ole dull Donovan McNabb must have been driving blind folded when he drove into RGIII’s lane and side swiped him on Tuesday. This dun hasn’t been out of the game a good 2 years and now all of a sudden he wants to have an opinion about something. McNabb played in the NFL for like 12 years and never once was willing to open his freakin’ mouth about anything (Michael Jordan) and now he wants to bully his way into being RGIII’s mentor? Wheredeydodatat?

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If he ain’t hollerin’ at ole boy to give him his barber’s number then he shouldn’t be tryin’ to holla at him at all! Why in the world, of all people, would RGIII need a mentor bruh? First of all, he’s got a father that has been there every step of the way and he’s military! Not to mention that this dun graduated from Baylor in 3 years! Not Ivy Tech or Shanaynay's Beauty School! Baylor playboy!!! He’s been nothing but the consummate professional since he set foot on Baylor’s campus as an 18 year old freshman. So he needs Donovan for what now?

It’s not like he’s Pacman Jones making it reign at the strip club and causing riots where boyz are getting shot up or Dez Bryant getting thrown out of the freakin’ mall for literally showing is butt in public. Why does he feel the need to attach himself to this cat? I’ll tell you why, because he wants to remain relevant and wants to take the credit for this kid becoming an outstanding role model in the National Football League. Well pimpin'… Robert Griffin II and his wife can take the credit for that playa.

On his NBC Sports radio show Tuesday, McNabb said that ole boy was being brainwashed in Washington. He then went on to say, "I hope the best for the young man, but the direction he's going in is really a direction he does not want to do. He does not want to go there with me, especially when I got the last word. I'm just trying to help him." Help him do what bruh?

How can a cat that never defended himself when boyz came at him now attack RGIII for not wanting to listen to what he has to say? I guess he forgot all about when T.O. put him on blast after the Super Bowl for being a woos in the huddle and throwing up on boyz as they were trying to win a title and he wouldn’t say a word to defend himself afterwards. I guess he also forgot when Russ Limbaugh came at him sideways with those black quarterback comments and all he did was go hide in the corner. He never came out swinging even to get boyz off of him!

Now that he’s got a mic he wants to run past a boy and knock his books out of his hand just because he graduated and they aren’t beating him up on the bus anymore. Stop me when I start lyin’ bruh! He’s like the chick that got dissed by the most popular cat in school and now she’s telling all the girls that he’s gay. You can’t try to be a gangsta now playa. That’s being a phony!

Mobb Deep said it best, “Son they shook, cause ain’t no such things as halfway crooks scared to death, scared to look they shook.” McNabb was shook his entire career. Now he wants to bully a cat  that ain’t thinkin’ about him. He wouldn’t be jawing at Bart Scott or James Harrison because he’s still a halfway crook. In my Nino Brown voice, “McNabb go sit yo $5 “A” down before somebody makes change!”

When James Brown wrote the hit song “Say It Loud, I’m Black and I’m Proud in 1968 he didn’t ask folks for their ghetto pass nor did he ask for them to take a test to prove whether they were black enough to sing along.  Now at that time we all lived in the same neighborhoods and spoke the same language because of the limited access we had to the world because of segregation. However, since that time black folks have been able to go off to the schools of their choice and reside in whatever neighborhoods they could afford to live in.

So therefore, in that span of 40 plus years because we’ve had the opportunity to spread our wings in this country we don’t all speak in the same vernacular and grow up with the same experiences.

That’s why I’m blown away that ESPN’s Rob Parker, a brother, would try to authenticate RG3’s blackness on First Take this past Thursday. Now while we're on some REAL TALK we can't let ESPN off the hook for throwing the blood in the water but Parker was the only one dumb enough to bite. Then they've got the nerve to fire him for eating.

This dun went on to ask the question, "Is he a brother or a cornball brother?" While he’s sitting there looking like the chapter president of the revenge of the nerds he put RG3 on blast. He then went on to say that he wanted to find out more about Griffin and how he deals with black teammates and others in Washington. Now even if he felt that way you never blast family in public.

"We all know he has a white fiancée," he said. "There was all this talk about he's a Republican, which, there's no information [about that] at all. I'm just trying to dig deeper as to why he has an issue. Because we did find out with Tiger Woods, Tiger Woods was like, I've got black skin, but don't call me black. So people got to wondering about Tiger Woods early on."

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes first! RG3 is representing the brotherhood well! He graduated from Baylor in 3 years, won the Heisman Trophy, was the #2 pick overall in the 2012 NFL draft, is balling out of control and has been a model citizen. I’d say that he’s the type of black man that I’d want my son to aspire to become. Who cares what his girl looks like bruh or how he votes? The fact that he's a multi-millionaire wouldn't make it odd for him to be a Republican if he was.

Would Parker be more satisfied if ole boy couldn’t complete a sentence, had a gold grill in his mouth, walked around with his pants falling off of him and carrying a gun? That doesn’t represent the brotherhood well. That makes us look like fools and increases the statistic of us being unproductive. I'm ridin' with him on GP because he looks like me and when the world sees him they see my son! If he does well that opens more doors for my children. If he represents poorly it closes those same doors homeboy! See if a white kid goes out and acts a fool. He's an idiot all by himself. If a black kid does the same thing he represents us all. So we're pulling for RG3 to make good on all of that potential on and off of the field!

What blows me away is that some black folks only think that you have to be from the ghetto and poor to be black. At one point in time that was the case because we’ve all come from nothing. However, time and opportunity has changed many of our kid’s experiences and they don’t all include the ghetto homeboy.

Both my wife and I are from Gary, In. one of the toughest places in America. We had the same experiences that every kid in the ghetto had because we were all forced to live in the same neighborhoods and go to the same schools even though our parents were middle class. My father was a pharmacist, my mother was a school teacher, her dad was a steel worker and her mother was blessed to be a stay at home mom. So even though we were brought up as middle class kids our experience was no different from the other kids around us because we couldn’t live in the suburbs at that time.

Since then we’ve been blessed to move into the upper middle class and therefore our kids don’t have the slightest clue of what the ghetto is and I’m not ashamed of that homeboy! So by dull Rob Parker’s definition my kids don’t make the black cut either.

I know that I can speak for all of the brothers that have spread their wings out here with me. We won’t apologize for our ability to provide for our families and expose our children to a world that we didn’t know existed until we were grown. If corn ball is making the honor roll every marking period, being very articulate, keeping their pants around their waists and saying yes sir and no mam when they’re speaking to adults then we'll embrace that label for our kids because their futures will be bright.

If knowing all the lyrics to a Katy Perry or Taylor Swift joint along with bumpin' some Rihanna make them not  black enough for your book, then I’m cool with that too because your book ain’t selling anymore pimpin’!  Down for the cause means representing the brotherhood well and a college educated brother playing pro ball making millions of dollars and not ending up on the police blotter is what's happening.

In 1984 when the Cosby Show came on TV it inspired a whole generation of black kids to become something that most folks thought was impossible for them to do. He was a doctor and his wife was a lawyer and they were both black. Now I can’t begin to count the number of friends that I have that live that exact same life. Are their kids not black enough Rob Parker because they may view the world like RG3 does?  Maybe our kids think you’re a corn ball brother for trying to tear down a cat that’s nothing short of a great role model. Y’all can stop me when I start lyin’ bruh!

Immortalized!

"I know Big Momma is watching and she's pissed!"
Remember when you took your 4th grade school pictures and you put on your favorite outfit, rocking whatever hair style was in at the time? You thought you were the stuff until twenty years later you pulled that joint out and looked a complete mess? Even though it was stylish at the time it didn't transcend through time. I had an afro that I had to put a hot comb on in order for that joint to stand up. So by the time we took pictures half of my hair had fallen because I was sweating from walking to school. So you know it was bad. The good thing is everybody in the world didn't see.

Robert Griffin III immortalized the worst hair cut ever to hold a Heisman Trophy on Saturday night. Big Momma would call them plats, not braids! I've been saying it all season long every time they would interview him after a win. "He needs to cut his hair bruh." He goes to Baylor, is highly intelligent, well spoken and I'm not seeing what I'm hearing. He sounds corporate but looks well...you fill in the blank!

I’ve got mad love for RGIII however because he's a trailblazer. He could have gone anywhere in America to play ball but he chose Baylor. A school that had averaged only 1 conference win per year for more than a decade. Who does that? RGIII or Superman as his teammates call him does. He even rocked the Superman socks with the cape on them last night too. Now that was hot! Trailblazing bruh! He pulled a Kobe and put the entire university on his back and took them to NYC to pick up the joint. When his name was called as the 77th recipient of the Heisman Trophy he was a poised professional… with plats.

"This is unbelievably believable," he said. "It's unbelievable because in the moment we're all amazed when great things happen. But it's believable because great things don't happen without hard work."

My man got up there and sounded like he'd been there before. Very mature kid… with plats! Very intelligent kid… with plats. Very motivating speech… with plats. I'm sorry dog; I can't get over the plats. I know Billy Sims rocked the afro in 1978 when he picked up the Heisman but the fro was in style at the time. Everybody that was anybody had a fro in '78! So Billy represented the brotherhood well. I can remember all the kids saying, "Right On Bruh!" Billy did us right when he got up there because his fro was shaped and bouncing!

However, nobody is wearing plats bruh! I mean NOBODY! I guess that's RGIII trying to be a trailblazer again huh? Sorry my guy, nobody's getting on that train, bus, limo or bike with you on that one. Now he's got to look back on the immortalized pictures of the most outstanding night of his life and see plats. I'm just glad Trent Richardson didn't have to immortalize the dreads pulled back into a stiff pony tail. What was that bruh? He looked like the girls in the Trojan Fingertip Massager commercial. Just rock the dreads down that's why you've got them. They're supposed to be hanging and the brotherhood would have appreciated that. Not pulled back in a still pony tail!

RGIII needed a “No” man last night! He needed that guy that grew up with you that will tell you what you really need to hear when you need to hear it. He needed him on the road with him all week long saying, “Hey bruh, I know you’ve been rockin’ them joints since the 3rd grade but now is a really good time to get rid of ‘em. I mean you can’t go out there lookin’ like that bruh!” Big Momma would have said something but she’s afraid to fly and hasn‘t figured out that cell phone thing yet. You better believe she’s got him in the kitchen right now cutting them off after watching the Heisman Presentation last night! She's cursing the whole time because you know she told him to cut it "before he went up there with them city folks!"
