"Oh, I'm comin' back playa!!" |
Well playas...the San Antonio Spurs and the Cleveland Cavaliers were both the pessimist and the optimist on Sunday afternoon. Whether they wanna admit it or not, when they saw Steph Curry go down with the sprain knee they both saw the opportunity in the difficulty of his situation.
Let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Like I told you boyz a few weeks ago, barrin' injury it was foregone conclusion that Golden State would win the championship because no way was ANYBODY capable of beatin' these duns 4 times. They had only lost 9 games all season and that was playin' on the road and playin' back to backs etc., etc., etc.!! This ain't the NCAA Tournament bruh, where a boy can just show up, win a game and advance.
Naw playa you've gotta beat these boyz 4 times and that ain't possible when these cats are at full strength. However, if Steph is limited or even out completely that changes the ENTIRE landscape of the playoffs. Without Steph they can still win the next two series easily but San Antonio gets a shot at knockin' these boyz off in the Western Conference Finals. Now it's still gonna be difficult because the Spurs are the oldest team in the league with an average age of 137!!!
Golden State is young and vibrant but the X-factor is Popovich. Without Steph they've at least got a shot at pullin' the upset. That also gives Cleveland a chance at winnin' the joint too. Why? Because "If" the Spurs can come out of the West the match ups are favorable to Cleveland playin' a team that's 137 years old. The marbles are at least in the middle of the table.
Even if Golden State advances to the Finals without Steph or a limited Steph the Cavs have a favorable opportunity of havin' a chance to win it all. Don't let the Spurs or the Cavs tell you that they aren't eagerly awaitin' the results of that MRI today either. Any dun that gets on TV and says that they're hopin' that they get to play Golden State with their full complement of players is lyin'! Especially, LeBron!!!
His entire legacy is wrapped in his ability to win championships. Why? Because he's been compared to the MJ and every year it's championship or bust! So if that dun tells you that he would love to see Steph come back he's full of it. Now NOBODY wants to see ole boy hurt and his career jeopardized. However, NOBODY wants that dun on the floor while they're competin' for a championship. Now I wanna see him return at full strength because I want to see them win it all because 73-9 means nothin' without the title! I want to see history bein' made but the Spurs and the Cavs don't even if they say they do. Stop me when I start lyin'!
Playas Thesaurus:
1) Spit: verb - to say
2) Dun: noun - the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It's whoever I'm talkin' about and its non-gender specific.
Holla At Ya Boy!
