Mayne (How the Pacers were all Hustle but simply no Flow against the Celtics)

"What's up wit tonight bruh?"
John McLaughlin, the famous musician, once said, “The mathematics of rhythm are universal. They don’t belong to any particular culture.” Bruce Barton, the author, advertising executive and politician, gave it to us where we could smell it, “Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change – this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clear vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress.” Then Elvis Presley stepped on stage and broke it down like this, “Rhythm is something you either have or don’t have, but when you have it, you have it all over.”

Well playas…it looks like ole Elvis was right bruh! Either you have it or you don’t and the Indiana Pacers didn’t on Saturday night as the Boston Celtics came into the joint and robbed them without a ski mask on 93-89. They didn’t do anything special to get the win they just won the joint. The loss snapped a season high 7 game winnin’ streak for the Pacers.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! It’s not like Boston rolled off into the joint with mad swag and confidence! They didn’t seem to be the better team bruh. The Pacers just seemed to stumble around all night. The breaks that a boy usually gets just didn’t show up to work. They had the "Hustle" but no "Flow" mayne! Defensively they didn’t play bad. After all, they held Boston to only 42 percent shootin’ from the field and 28 percent from downtown!

The glarin’ stat that stuck out for me was that the Pacers bench who has been a major contributor all season wasn’t as productive as usual. However, they scored 30 points but this a bench that puts in work darn near every night! And that’s the edited version. They put up 73 points just a few nights ago against ole dull Orlando. So bench scorin’ has been a critical piece of the Pacers identity this year because of all the injuries they experienced early on.

They’re still holdin’ on to the No.7 playoff spot even with the loss but they are now 3 and ½ games out of the No.6 spot behind Milwaukee and only a half game up on Charlotte.

I know y’all didn’t think I was gonna get out of here without talkin’ about the dun in the back seat eatin’ Skittles and Lemon Heads. On a night that the team needed a boost from the $13.67 million man he only gave them 5 points and 7 rebounds. At 7’2” 290lbs. that should be a double-double just gettin’ out of the bed in the mornin’ pimpin’! There are no excuses for wakin’ up that tall and not bringin’ at least 10 and 10 to the cookout. None playboy!!!

Big props to the homie George Hill for bangin’ out 30 points and throwin’ 8 dimes. C.J. Miles hit ‘em up for 13 points as both Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Watson dropped off 12 apiece. Up next Toronto and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:
1) Smell it: verb phrase - to be able to understand it clearly
2) Mayne: noun – Memphis hood for the word man. Hustle and Flow was a movie about a hustler and pimp named DJay from Memphis that was chasin’ the dream of becomin’ a rapper. The dun said mayne a thousand times in the movie just like boyz from Memphis do.
3) Dull: adjective – to be the guy that you simply shake your head when you say their name.
4) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc.
5) Pimpin’: noun – the person that I’m passionately tryin’ to get my point across to.
6) Dimes: verb – to throw assists
