Old Heads (Why Kevin Hart completely violated the Code by clownin' Jameis Winston)

"Really bruh? And you're a old head? Really?
John C. Maxwell, the famous author and speaker, once said, “The best way a mentor can prepare another leader is to expose him or her to other great people.” Mike May, the famous blind business executive, gave it to us like this, “The fun thing about getting older is finding younger people to mentor.” Then Naveen Jain, the successful business executive, couldn’t have said it any better with, “I believe our legacy will be defined by the accomplishments and fearless nature by which our daughters and sons take on the global challenges we face. I also wonder if perhaps the most lasting expression of one’s humility lies in our ability to foster and mentor our children.”

Well playboy…for most responsible grown folks our humility does lie in our ability to foster and mentor our children. I guess Kevin Hart never got that memo huh bruh! Over the weekend this dun was at Florida State and literally ran up on Jameis Winston in front of his teammates with the cameras rollin’ and said, “You need to stop doing dumb S**T!” He then goes on to blast him with jokes in front of his boyz.

Now let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! In the world that I live in bruh the old heads are supposed to pull a young cats to the side and give them advice and encouragement. Not try to destroy them! I don’t know how they do it in other cultures playa because I’ve never been a part of anything but black culture. But I was taught by our leaders that you’re supposed to reach back and grab a boy that’s tryin’ to come up too. Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King Jr, Malcom X, Harriett Tubman and others taught me that my obligation is to the cats comin’ up behind me not just to me.

So when Kevin Hart, as a grown “A” black man, goes up to Jameis Winston, a college student, and clowns him for the world to see, tells me where his head is. I heard Jamie Foxx once say while receivin’ the Academy Award for best actor for his work in ‘Ray’ that Sydney Poitier once told him to make it count for something. What he meant by that my brother is that you’ve got to make all of this count not just in your life but in others lives as well. When God blesses you it’s not just for you playa.

Old heads are supposed to teach the young thunder cats the way, not go out of their way to embarrass them. Now I know that I’m gonna have cats out here that thought that it was funny and that Jameis deserves to be drug through the mud once again. Well that’s because A) They’re not from where I’m from both physically and mentally and B) They don’t understand the struggle out here. And if I’ve got to explain to you what the struggle is then this conversation is way above your head and I’d be wastin’ my time tryin’ to get you to understand it.

My old man used to always say, “Keep what goes on in my house in my house!” Kevin Hart violated the first rule taught to boyz when they put their shoes on to go to kindergarten bruh. Don’t go to school discussin’ family business. Usin’ old school logic Jameis could be his kid and regardless of whether Kevin agrees or disagrees with his behavior in irrelevant.  As an old head in the black community he’s obligated to give that young boy some wisdom if he's gonna say anything to him at all.  Not to go out of his way embarrass him because he could. Wheredeydodatat?

Now on some real talk! Kevin Hart is lucky that there weren’t any cats in that locker room that grew up like I grew up because they would have been carryin’ that dun and his boyz out of there unconscious for even tryin’ that foolishness. To have the audacity to even think that you can roll up on a boy and clown one of the fellas because you’re famous would have gotten you beat down in the world I lived in at 20 years old. Thank God for growth and wisdom bruh.

For this fool to have the nerve to approach some one’s kid and do that is crazy to me. Kevin Hart has kids of his own and is old enough to be Jameis Winston’s daddy. That means that it’s real bruh. This isn’t a game! If he wanted to add something to the Winston’s life then add it playa. Don’t take away from his life by givin’ these media type cats and the fools on social media another 2 weeks of material to beat this kid up with. Again, it shows the level of immaturity of Kevin Hart as a grown man and a father. When you have kids of your own it suddenly gets real and no responsible parent would have done what he did over the weekend. Stop me when I start lyin’!
