Street Signs (Why KD & the boyz literally took over South Beach with the Heat on it)

"Get off of me son! I got this!"
The fellas and I were hangin’ out at Wet Willie’s on South Beach before the game and boyz started arguing about preparation. Alexander Graham Bell said, “Before anything else, preparation is the key to success.” Confucius put his drink down and said, “Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure.” Then Elbert Hubbard, the famous writer and philosopher, ordered another round and broke this down, “The preparation for good work tomorrow is to do good work today.”

Well the Oklahoma City Thunder are definitely preparing for good work tomorrow in the playoffs because they’re doing good work today in the regular season! They showed up on South Beach and straight took over the joint by blasting the Miami Heat 112-95.

Now like most cats, I wanted to see the head-to-head matchup between KD and LeBron and pretty much everybody else could have just gotten out of the way. But the NBA was obligated to give us a game so the rest of those duns were invited to the party even though nobody cared that they were there.

On some real talk, the KD and LeBron show was a wash with them going 33 and 34 points respectively. So if you were zoned in on that you got your money’s worth playboy. However, like I keep telling these duns in South Florida you can’t just push a button and be ready to play come playoff time.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The Heat are nowhere near looking like a championship caliber team. You can’t just throw your sneakers out on the floor with the Heat logo and expect for boyz to back up and respect you. The last two years don’t exist anymore bruh. That’s why they distinguish time by calling it past, present and future.

The past is in the rearview mirror, the present is the gift that’s in the ride right now and the future is where you’re going depending upon how well you prepare for it today. Let me put something on ya head playa! Everybody’s got a future but if you don’t prepare for it, you're gonna beat you down by it.

As long as the Heat just keep going through the motions, boyz are gonna find them in an alley belly down somewhere talking about how good they used to be. That’s real talk!

What you did last year has no relevance on today pimp. KD and his boyz went to work on a team that wasn’t prepared for the moment. Not only did Durant moon the duns on South Beach for 33, Serge Ibaka also stuck his butt out of the window of the limo for 22. Then Jeremy Lamb came off of the bench and drained 18 at the Clevelander while old man Derek Fisher went 5-5 from behind the arc for 15 at LIV.

The Heat got production out of the Big Three but as a team they turned the rock over 20 times giving up 25 points off of those joints. You can’t win games giving the ball to the cats in the other jersey all night. Why were they turning the joint over? Because there was no chemistry on the floor like I’ve been saying all year.

An wise Old Italian once told me that luck is the corner where Opportunity and Preparation meet. You have to constantly drive down the road of Preparation and every now and then you'll come across Opportunity. However, if you aren’t prepared for the moment you can’t get out of the ride because the Opportunity will be too much for you to handle and the Heat simply couldn’t get out of the ride last night. All you gotta do is pay attention to the street signs bruh! Stop me when I start lyin’!
