"All Eyes On Me"

"I know you see me playboy cuz I see you, watching me!"
James Baldwin once said, “People who treat other people as less than human must not be surprised when the bread they have cast on the waters comes floating back to them, poisoned.” Plutarch, the Greek historian, leaned back in his chair and propped his red gators up on the table and said, “We ought not to treat living creatures like shoes or household belongings, which when worn with use we throw away.” Then Ralph Waldo Emerson pulled up in the new Maserati with the system bumpin’ and said, “Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly and they will show themselves great.”

Ole Ralph must have gone to Michigan because the boyz down in Columbus don’t roll like that. Their motto is “Trust us and we’ll use you; treat us greatly and we’ll sell your jersey as long as you’re winning, make all of the bread and throw you away once we’ve got no more use for you.”

That’s exactly what they did to Raiders starting quarterback Terrelle Pryor. He led Ohio State to 3 consecutive Big Ten titles from 2008-10 and led the Buckeyes to wins in the 2010 Rose Bowl and the 2011 Sugar Bowl. While he was the starter at Ohio State they went 31-4 and none of that meant of thing to them at the end of the day.

When he and his teammates got caught up for simply trading their own memorabilia, trophies and championship rings for tattoos he was eventually banned from the school’s athletic department for 5 years. That means no contact with their student-athletes, he can’t show up on the yard to work out and he can’t even go to ball games etc.

On Tuesday ole boy told the Columbus Dispatch, “That’s my school, but they don’t really accept me. I’ve moved on to what I have now, and that’s just football.” He went on to say, “Those guys kicked me out of school after all those things I did for them.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This is a prime example of a kid being pimped in the world of the big time college athletics. Ohio State rolled out the red carpet for one of the most highly recruited players ever. Not only was this dun the top high school football recruit in America but he was one of the most highly recruited basketball players in the country in 2008 as well.

After being mistreated by Ohio State boyz would have understood if he had been bitter and just given up on football. Most cats would have gone back to the crib with excuses and got involved in the dope game and the rest is history. You know how it goes. “Has been” turns into kingpin doing federal time, 30 for 30 exploits the whole story and everybody gets paid but the fool sitting in jail.

However, Terrelle was drafted by the Raiders in the 2011 supplemental draft and road it out. He literally rode the pine in 2011, played sparingly in 2012 and finally got the nod as the starter this year. After two starts he’s completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 343 yards and rushed for 162 yards in two games which is the highest total among NFL quarterbacks. Talk about being resilient playboy!

I know he wants to straight up blast the Buckeyes for being some busters and turning their backs on him but he can’t because it would be a distraction to his current team , so I will. How are you gonna ban a boy for selling his own stuff and that’s the edited version bruh? He didn’t steal anything, he didn’t rob some cat on campus and he didn’t sell any dope! He simply took what belonged to him and traded it for some freakin’ tattoos.

Did he break the ignorant rules of the hypocritical NCAA? The same duns that will tell a boy that he can’t sell his own jersey but will take that same joint, sell it on their website and not even share the proceeds. Sure he did, but is that a crime worthy of being banned from the university for any length of time? Not at all!

Excuse me homeboy, but I’ve just become a Raiders fan for the rest of Pryor’s playing days. Some cats you gotta pull for and he’s one of them for me. I can hear than dun pulling up to practice today bumpin’ that Pac ”All Eyes On Me!" Stop me when I start lyin'!
