"Don't think for one minute I ain't playin' this year bruh!" |
Well…they weren’t playing big time college football when Plato opened his big mouth! Boyz weren’t making the money that they’re making now on the exploitation of college athletes when he was cruising around Greece in his golden chariot sitting on 24’s because now all decisions are based on numbers and not knowledge playboy.
All of the so-called experts on TV and radio are talking about why Texas A&M has a huge decision to make at this point. Should they play Johnny Manziel or not while the NCAA investigates this whole autograph fiasco?
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! There’s nothing to think about bruh! You gotta play that dun because he’s worth, according to ESPN’s business guru, more than $37 million to the program just this year alone. Not to mention an additional $17 million if they make it to a BCS Bowl. You can’t sit him down! Well, you can but it wouldn’t make any sense at all financially. Yeah I get the fact that if he plays and they find him guilty of taking money for the autographs A&M forfeits all of the games won etc. I get it.
Let’s say that they don’t find the smoking gun then what? Even if they do and I’m quite sure they will, there is no real recourse. The dull NCAA will come in and take the wins away and the freaking championship banners down, if any are won. But who in their right mind thinks A&M will win a championship as long as ole Nick can keep boyz in line down in Tuscaloosa? So when the NCAA kicks in the front door, they're confiscating everything but the most important thing, the bread!!!
So why would A&M care if they have to forfeit some games that they never would have won in the first place if Johnny Football weren’t on the field. They were one of the worst teams in the Big 12 finishing 11th, 8th, 5th and 7th their last four years in the conference and since 2003 they were 51-48 in conference play. They were horrible!
Then with one year of Johnny they went 11-2 in the best conference in football. I know Kevin Sumlin is a great coach because I went to college with him at Purdue, but without Manziel they’re a .500 team at best last year. So do you really think they’ve got some decisions to make? It’s already been made bruh! Play that dun!
The NCAA kills me with this, “Ima take your wins away and that’ll teach you!” It’s the dumbest thing ever! You can’t erase history. You can’t tell me that I didn’t see the Fab Five go to back to back Final Fours in ’92 and ’93! You can’t tell me that they weren’t the best collection of college basketball recruits ever assembled. You can’t tell me that I didn’t see them change the flare of basketball forever with the baggy shorts and black shoes! All you young boyz think that it was Jordan that changed the game but it was Chris Webber & Co. playboy. Jordan changed the sports marketing game and the shoe game but the Fab Five changed the look and the attitude of the game.
I guess the NCAA is gonna tell me that I didn’t see USC and Reggie Bush beat the brakes off of my Oklahoma Sooners in January of ’05 55-19 to win the ’04 Orange Bowl and the national title. I guess I was imagining that whole episode huh? Reggie was later found to have been guilty of taking bread from a sports marketing guy and that his mom was living in an $800K flat at the time paid for by some guys that Reggie promised he would sign with but never did. That’s why they blew the whistle on him.
The New York Downtown Athletic Club took the Heisman back and USC took everything down as well but nobody gave any refunds. So why would Texas A&M not play Johnny Football while the NCAA figures out what they’re going to do about it? Its money to be made and publicity to get. Do you realize that when a program is winning the enrollment goes up darn near 30%?
Boosters give more money and duns like ESPN show up on campus with these things called cameras that allow people all over the world to see the Aggies play. Do you really think that they’re worried about whether Johnny Football will be eligible or not?
Do you really think Kevin Sumlin cares whether this dun took money or not? As long as he's eligible he's gonna play because if they get slammed with probation he can dip just like Chip Kelly and Pete Carroll did at Oregon and USC respectively. As long as he can win it helps his résumé.
Boyz are sitting in the president of the university’s office right now saying you better put that dun on the field and we’ll worry about the NCAA later pimpin'. Just like Auburn did with Cam Newton. Without Cam they lose most of those games so it made since to roll the dice and they just happened not to crap out. Even if they would have they got tall publicity for the school and crazy bread. It’s a pimp game and the dun with the biggest glass usually wins and there’s nothing you can do about it. Stop me when I start lyin’!
