The state attorney’s office obviously felt the same way I did in the recent Hot Joint entitled "Canine Foolery." I told you boyz that the Gainesville rent-a-cop abused his power and jumped over board when he arrested Florida linebacker Antonio Morrison for barking at his police dog.
The state attorney William Cervone said that after looking at the police video of the arrest he believed that ole boy did NOTHING to warrant being arrested and that pursuing charges would be inappropriate.
"To be fair, law enforcement officers are not lawyers or fully aware of what the courts require. Nonetheless, and fair or not, their decisions must meet those standards," Cervone said. "The charge of interfering with a police animal requires malice, and none exists. lt also requires that the animal be engaged in some official duty, and it cannot be said that sitting in the back of a police cruiser in case he is needed constitutes being engaged in such activity by a police dog.
So you already know Big Momma has shown up at the police station with her rollers, house coat with the belt missing and those raggedy slippers she’s been wearing since the civil rights movement and cursed up one wall and slid down the other. I can see her now giving boyz the business with her cigarette hanging out of the side of her mouth with a half inch of ash leaning off of that joint. That’s an art that only old timers can perfect playboy. You gotta at least have an old school vaccination scare to be able to do that.
What blew my mind is that all of these duns in the media were slamming this kid for being arrested twice in 5 weeks without evening looking at how ridiculous it was that he was arrested for barking at a freakin’ dog in the first place. Like I said in the joint earlier this week, I’ve done it a million times. It’s not against the law to bark at a dog, police or not.
Just because a kid gets arrested isn’t cause for alarm. The first thing that I’m asking is why? Because I already know that some cops wanna be John Wayne and in this case that dun was riding the horse and wearing brand new cowboy boots.
"As to the charge of resisting an officer, I challenge anyone who looks at the video of the incident to find any resistance, physical or otherwise, beyond questioning the actions of law enforcement, which is not illegal. Certainly, I see nothing that would allow or persuade a jury to convict."
What he really wanted to say was, the clown that made the arrest was on something else and needs to be guarding the water down at the swimming pool for the rest of the summer. Then he needs to be moved to over to the Swamp to guard the 50 yard line stripe to make sure that it doesn’t move in the middle of the night during the football season.
As for the fake media cats that were dogging Antonio Morrison and making jokes about him saying, “Well the dog barked first!” The jokes on you playboy! Before you get so quick to convict a kid for being an idiot and being arrested ask the ultimate two part Big Momma question. Why and who? Why was he arrested and who arrested him. The answers to those joints will many times clear up all foolishness. Trust me; I know a lot of cats that have been falsely arrested by some John Wayne “wanna-be” cop and so do you. Stop me when I start lyin’!
