The Evil That Men Do (Boston Marathon)

Hood 101, "Boyz always gotta mess the party up!"

Buddha once said, “An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind.” My homie, Albert Einstein, shook it up with this, “The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.” Martin Luther King Jr. shut the building down when he said, “He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.”

Well, I want to know who was cooperating with the evil that helped to perpetrate the crime of planting two bombs at the Boston Marathon on Monday. At last count 3 are confirmed dead and at least 140 are being treated at local hospitals with more than 17 of those in critical condition.

The sad part about this situation is that it could have happened to any of us. As much as you can try to secure the joint it’s virtually impossible to secure outdoors and the fools out there. Evil will always find a loop hole in the goodness of people. I know today everybody and their momma will have an opinion on how the Boston Marathon should have handled the situation in advance. However, hindsight is 20/20 playboy so in my Mr. Willie voice from the shoe shine joint on 25th, ‘If “IF” was a fifth we’d all would be drunk!”

I just hope that this situation becomes another eye opener for all of those clowns that complain every time they’re searched at the airport or even as they are going into a sporting event. You know the dun that is always giving the little security guy beef when he asks to check his bag. Just shut up and do what the guy asks you to do because the very time that they don’t check some cat's bag we end up with folks dead or mutilated. Just give ole Otis some respect and let him do his freaking job.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st! There are events in life that happen that will always be engrained in your memory and you’ll never forget where you were when it went down. This is one of them. It’s a shame that someone somewhere got a kick out of hurting other human beings but evil is evil bruh. Like Big Momma used to always say, “Everybody is not your friend baby! So you can’t go around trusting folks because they smiled at you because that will be the very person stabbing you in your back honey.”

This outside world is no different from the hood bruh and boyz better recognize that real quick! You can't just kick it out here without watching your back anymore even when you're close to home pimpin'.

All of my hood dwellers or former hood dwellers already know the drill. Identify all of the exits as soon as you fall into the event. Why? Because you can't go anywhere in the ghetto without the joint getting turned upside down right at the end of the event. Every party was gonna end with boyz either fighting, shooting or both in the parking lot. Every sporting event was gonna get turned out early because boyz had to get it in either in the stands or on the field of play. Every family reunion was gonna end with somebody getting carried out of the joint bleeding. So mainstream America, welcome to the ghetto. It's sad but true.  

Unfortunately, all of the good that people do is so often overshadowed by the foolishness of a few. William Shakespeare said it best with, "The evil that men do lives after them. The good is oft enterred in their bones." 

I’ll continue to pray for this world and even for those that are evil to change their wicked ways. Since the beginning of time good has battled evil and this is just our turn to do so. At the very least the next time you’re in line somewhere and the complainer opens his or her mouth tell them to shut up and open the freaking bag or get out of line.  Stop me when I start lyin playboy’!
