Well playas...just like boyz were hatin' on LeBron a few years ago tryin' to compare him to Jordan usin' ignorant charts and photo's to make their points. Now they're doin' it with Steph Curry. Like I told you boyz with LeBron, I could give a rip or two dead flies about LeBron or Steph. My favorite player of all time is Kevin Garnett because of the intensity that he played the game with EVERY night. However, when I see cats put together ignorant "A" charts that make no sense it drives me crazy. At least if you're goin' to hate understand the game.
Let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This picture is somehow tryin' to insinuate that boyz played defense on Mike and nobody is playin' defense against Steph because he's takin' wide open shots. However, the idiot that put it together never thought for once that they played in entirely different offenses where one creates wide open looks and the other doesn't.
The Bulls for example, ran the triangle where Mike took more shots than anybody in the freakin' league every year. Look up his numbers and more specifically his shot attempts every year. Therefore, everybody in the darn buildin' knew that he was gonna shoot the rock and that he was goin' to rack more often than not. Now Jordan knew more often than not that he was gonna get the shot off as evidenced by his 30.1 points per game scorin' average. He shot more than anybody in the darn league so it only makes sense that he would be drawin' double and triple teams when he went to the rack. Why? Because he WASN'T PASSIN' IT!!!! NOBODY else on that team was shootin' as often as he was so the defenses ALWAYS converged on him.
Golden State plays a spread offense where EVERYBODY on the darn floor can shoot the rock off of the dribble. We've NEVER seen that before in the history of the game. Therefore, teams CANNOT afford to double or triple team Steph. If you do he's goin' to get rid of it and you're givin' up a wide open jumper or 3 that EVERYBODY else on the floor can knock down. So teams have to play him honest and he's knockin' down shots from 32 feet or more at 68 percent!!!! Wheredeydodatat?!!!
You can't get up on him because he'll blow right by you. Why? Because he's got the best handles in the league outside of maybe Kyrie. If he doesn't blow by you he's dishing' it because he's a point guard and his nature is to get rid of it. Mike was shootin' that thang bruh!!!
Sure, Mike had Steve Kerr that had the highest 3-point shootin' percentage in the history of the league at .45 but he only averaged 6 points per game. Therefore, it didn't make an ounce of sense to guard that dun if Mike had the rock.
And if you look at these stupid pictures, every one of them is Mike in the paint. Why? Because it was illegal to double or triple team a player in the open court durin' that time period. You had to play man to man defense back then. Could you imagine havin' to guard Steph MAN TO MAN for 24 seconds? Are you kidding me? And vice versa with Mike playin' today!
But don't put an ignorant chart together with Mike goin' to the rack 20 years ago and Steph shootin' from 32 feet out and try to compare the two because you look and sound like a fool.
So all I'm sayin' bruh is that if you see this type of foolishness come across your timeline don't share it because it only makes you look like an idiot that doesn't know the game of basketball too. Sometimes it's okay not to jump on the hater's bandwagon. It's okay to be an independent thinker and say that doesn't make sense and keep it movin'. Stop me when I start lyin'!
