The Ship (Why neither Golden State nor Atlanta will make the Finals)

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once said, "A lot of young players don't really know much about the history of the game and a lot of them are missing out on what the game is all about, especially the whole concept of sportsmanship and teamwork." Mike Krzyzewski gave it to us like this, "To me, teamwork is the beauty of our sport, where you have five acting as one. You become selfless." Then Michael Jordan shut the buildin' down with, "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships."

Well playas...the NBA Playoffs jumped off on Saturday and everybody and their baby's momma's momma has an opinion on who's gonna win the Ship. The cats that really don't know a thing about this game or especially the playoffs have Golden State and Atlanta playin' in the Finals. Not understandin' what the three duns said to open this joint makes a boy look crazy. 

Let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This isn't the NCAA Tournament playboy! You can't just show up, have one fire game, get out of the joint with a "W" and move on. Naw playa, you gotta win 4 times in each series pimpin'! So guess what that means? The best TEAM ALWAYS wins the series. Not the team that won the most regular season games.

Just because a boy won the most games durin' the season doesn't automatically make him the favorite. There are too many reasons as to why teams win and lose games durin' the season. Boyz are not playin' because of injuries, coaches rest older players because the season is so long. Cats are comin' off of back-to-back situations and their bodies are breakin' down. Some nights a boy just isn't feelin' it in freakin' February. It happens bruh! Boyz just lose games. 

However, when they turn that switch on that says playoff basketball the best teams show up. In the playoffs the key is and has always been superstars, coachin' and playoff experience! You CANNOT get around those three factors. 

Therefore, you can go ahead and pencil in San Antonio comin' out of the West playa. They've got the best coach breathin' in the NBA and they've got the old horses that understand the ultimate concept of teamwork. They've got the role players and the dicispline to win the West. 

Golden State is a jump shootin' team and you and I both know that jump shootin' teams only don't win deep in the playoffs. You gotta put your back to the basket at some point and Golden State can't do that. So Pop and Co. it is playa. 

Then in the East the formula is you've gotta have experience and superstars! Nobody has the coachin' necessarily but the biggest superstar in the game makes up for that difficiency. Cleveland comes out of the East because of the presence of one LeBron James. 

He's got these boyz humin' comin' atcha like Xcape and So So Def in 1993! It took a while but now they've got the best TEAM in the East. Atlanta won the most games but they don't have the superstars nor the coachin' it takes to get past Cleveland. And most importantly, they lost their best defender to the freakin' NYPD a week ago on some foolishness. 

Without Sefolosha they're in trouble deep in the playoffs. So like I said playa the best teams win in the NBA Playoffs. Cinderella only dances in college. This is the real house party and you gotta have some horses to get in. Therefore, San Antonio and Cleveland will dance in the Finals for all of the marbles. Stop me when I start lyin'!
