"I got it dawg! I gotta get it or else!" |
Well playas…the Indiana Pacers must have been listenin’ to General Patton when he was spittin’ that real knowledge because they held on a minute longer at the Target Center. I don’t know if it was courage or just plain old fear that allowed them to hold on to win 100-96 in Minnesota?
It was probably the fear of havin’ to deal with Big Momma if they had lost that joint after bein’ up by 19 points early in the third quarter. Roy Hibbert already knew that if he didn’t get his act together that it was gonna be in my Bernie Mac Players Club voice, “TROUBLE-TROUBLE!”
That dun was the “Big ZERO” on Saturday night in Denver where he had zero points and blocks! So it was mandatory that he show up before boyz made it back to the crib. As soon as the freakin’ car pulled up at the arena he was sprintin’ down the floor lookin’ for points, rebounds, and blocks like a drug addict in Haughville. He finished with 15, 8 and 4 for the night to get off of Big Momma’s hit list. C.J. Miles led all scorers with 28 points. David West bullied boyz for another solid night with 14 as both Luis Scola and Donald Sloan came through with 10 apiece.
The Pacers shot 50 percent from the field for the first time this season and got 48 points from the bench. I guess everybody was worried about havin’ to answer to Big Momma bruh. They weren’t playin’ with these boyz either as they forced 16 turnovers. The only problem was they let Mo Williams get loose for 24 points and let him throw 10 dimes. Then Shabbazz Muhammad woke up and hit them with 21 points and 6 rebounds. This joint should have been a brakes beat off type of party but at least boyz were afraid enough of Big Momma to hold on. Up next the Brow and the Pelicans. Stop me when I start lyin’!
Holla At Ya Boy!
