SEC Mythology (The REAL reason the SEC's reputation is all smoke &mirrors playboy)

Smoke and Mirrors bruh! Smoke and Mirrors!

Michael Shermer, the famous science writer, once said, “Myths are stories that express meaning, morality or motivation. Whether they are true or not is irrelevant.” Alex Ferguson, the famous Scottish soccer player, gave it to us like this, “Myths grow all the time. If I was to listen to the number of times I’ve thrown teacups then we’ve gone through some crockery in this place. It’s completely exaggerated, but I don’t like people arguing back with me.” Then Hypatia, the ancient Greek philosopher, shut the buildin’ down with, “Fables should be taught as fables, myths as myths and miracles as poetic fantasies. To teach superstitions as truths is a most terrible thing.”

I’ve been tellin’ you boyz for years that the myth that boyz have been sellin’ you about the ENTIRE SEC bein’ better than every other conference wasn’t true but you wouldn’t listen. For years I’ve been tellin’ you that there is no argument that the top of the SEC (Alabama, LSU, traditionally Florida and now Auburn) was better than most conferences. You get no argument from me with those schools. After all, the 7 straight BCS champions from the SEC came from those schools.

However, let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st! There are 14 teams in the freakin’ conference and only 4 of them are respresentin’ playboy. So to say that the entire conference is better is a Fallacy. For all of you simple minded individuals a Fallacy is something that is true but not necessarily true. For example if you said, “People in the projects steal. Johnny lives in the projects, therefore he steals.” Well playa, that’s not necessarily true because boyz that live in the projects do steal but not everybody in the projects steal.

It’s the same way with the SEC. Boyz in the SEC do win national titles and are better than most teams. However, just because you have SEC on your helmet doesn’t mean that you’re good.

Boyz have been doggin’ Florida State out for the past two seasons because they’re on a 28 game winnin’ streak playin’ in the ACC. Now they beat the SEC champion to win the national championship last year and they still haven’t lost. But the duns in the south keep screamin’ that they aren’t playin’ anybody.

So on Saturday the same conference that Florida State plays in went 4-0 against the vaunted SEC. Now boyz wanna act like we didn’t see what we saw playa.Well…I saw with my own eyes Kentucky get beat by Louisville, Georgia get beat by Georgia Tech at the crib, South Carolina get drug by Clemson and Florida get beat by Florida State. You can stick you head in the sand if you want to bruh but those are facts.

Duns like Texas A&M and Mizzou just walked into the SEC right out of the gate and took over the joint when they both were bottom feeders in the Big 12 for years. In year one Texas A&M came into the joint and won 10 ball games with a brand new coach and a freshman quarterback and the dun won the Heisman he did so much damage in the SEC!

Then I look up and Mizzou has been to two SEC championship games in their first three years in the conference! They only went to two Big 12 title games from 1996 to 2010 but you want me to believe that the ENTIRE conference is better? Put the pipe down, take the needle out of your arm, spit the tablets out of your mouth and back away from the table slowly.

The same Mizzou team that got trucked by perennial Big Ten bottom feeder Indiana this year is now about to play for the SEC title but you want me to believe that the ENTIRE conference is better? Where’s Cris Carter when you need him bruh, “C’mon Man!”

Just because 3 or 4 duns are typically better than the rest doesn’t make the ENTIRE conference better playboy. I just proved my case with the facts above. Don’t try to throw hypotheticals at me playa. Give me the facts. The facts are that Vanderbilt, Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Miss State, Texas A&M and Arkansas are eatin’ off of Alabama, Florida, LSU and Auburn’s success.

And for all of you duns screamin’ about the Mississippi school’s one year of success stop it! This year’s Egg Bowl was only the third time in 57 years and the first time since 1999 that both schools were ranked playin’ that game. Are you kiddin’ me?

To tell me that he ENTIRE conference is better because of what 4 schools have done is like tellin’ me that the SEC is the best in basketball because of what UK is doin’! Sounds stupid when you say it out loud three times doesn’t it playa?

Stop fallin’ for the Oaky Doke and look at it for what it is! It's all smoke and mirrors pimpin'! No question that Bama is the best but the rest of those duns are just like every other conference! Stop me when I start lyin’!
