Corn Rows (Spurs 92 Heat 88)

As boyz were hangin’ out in Big Momma’s basement choppin’ it up over a game of spades Ben Franklin said, “To succeed, jump as quickly at opportunities as you do at conclusions.” Ralph Waldo Emerson slammed his cards down and said, “The world is all gates, all opportunities, strings of tension waiting to be struck.” Then Winston Churchill kicked over the table when he said, “Difficulties mastered are opportunities won.”

The San Antonio Spurs hung around for 3 quarters just waiting for the Miami Heat to get comfortable enough to leave the gate open as they slipped in and stole Game 1, 92-88. By the beginning of the fourth with Miami holding on to slight lead all night. The Spurs suffocated them and held them to only 7 points by midway through the fourth. That’s why the old school coaches would always say, “You can’t let boyz hang around! Because while they’re hangin’ around they're figuring you out.”

When someone breaks into your house it’s always somebody that you know playboy. They’ve been to the crib and peeped out the joint. Nobody runs off into a spot that they know nothing about! That was San Antonio last night after 3 quarters.

You would have expected for the Spurs to destroy the Heat on the glass and in points in the paint like the Pacers did but it was anything but that. The Heat was +9 on the glass and the Spurs were only +6 in points in the paint. The X-factor was Tony Parker bruh! He only had 21 points but his leadership down the stretch was phenomenal and he hit a lucky desperation shot with 5.2 seconds left that broke the hearts of all of the boyz coolin’ out in their all white joints at American Airlines Arena.

Even though Tim Duncan is 146 years old he came up big with 20 points and 14 rebounds to help the Spurs steal Game 1 in Miami! That’s huge playa because in the Finals it’s 2-3-2! So to get a win on the road is major. They still have 3 games to play in San Antonio!  

LeBron was in complete beast mode and recorded yet another triple double as he put up 18 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and threw 10 dimes. Kawhi Leonard was out there struggling trying to keep that boy from pushing him around. Danny Green tried to step in and help the young boy only to get man handled as well. Both of those cats are in the weight room this morning or on the phone with whomever A. Rod has been hollerin’ at because something has to change by Game 2. I wouldn’t be surprised if both of those duns come out there looking like Barry Bonds on Sunday. Head and feet two sizes bigger!

Speaking of Kawhi Leonard!  So you mean to tell me that nobody told this dun that the Finals were on TV? He thought that the joint was on the radio and that everybody was huddled up in Big Momma’s kitchen listening to it. He’s shows up with not only corn rows but corn rows that didn’t have parts in them. Bruh, if the parts have disappeared you gotta get your hair done! First of all, corn rows went out with the sweater/hat combo sets. On some real talk, the sweater/hat combo was never hot but boyz were rockin’ those joints anyway and they looked just as stupid as Kawhi did with corn rows in the Finals that needed to be re-braided. You know Big Momma was cursing all night at the TV, "I told that boy to cut his hair!"  

 D. Wade must have given up the cigarettes during the Finals because he didn’t slip out to the parking lot at all last night as he gave them a solid 17 points. Bosh had 13 but only picked off 5 rebounds playa!  Look here pimpin’; at 6’11” 5 or 6 of those joints should hit you in the face on GP playboy.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st. The Heat played well enough to win but San Antonio hung around long enough to pick the lock. This is going to be a series where very few mistakes can be made because if you do boyz are coming in and taking everything including the championship trophy.
