Respect (How Caitlyn Jenner won the ESPY but boyz are watin' to see the REAL courage)

Aristotle once said, “You will never do anything in this world without courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind next to honor.” Nelson Mandela gave it to us like this, “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” Then John Wayne walked into the joint and said in his Rappin’ Duke voice, “Courage is being scared to death …and saddling up anyway.”

Well playas…Bruce Jenner was scared to death a few months ago about tellin’ boyz what his intentions were to transition into a woman but he saddled up anyway. Ole boy went through with the entire process of cosmetically becomin’ a woman and now he introduces himself to boyz as Cailtyn. So on Wednesday night at the ESPY’s he received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award for keepin’ it 100. Much respect to a boy for bein’ the person that he wants to be. That’s real talk bruh!

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st! It takes crazy courage to go through with the procedure of transitionin’ to cosmetically look like a woman. It takes a ridiculous amount of courage to tell your family and friends what you’re plannin’ to do and then havin’ the strength to go through with it. So for that I applaud him for that.

However, is he gonna have the courage to tell the first cat that rolls up on him at the bar that she’s a "he" accordin’ to his DNA. Understand this pimpin’, you can change the outward appearance all day long bruh but you cannot change your DNA. That's medically impossible. So because of that fact alone he’s still a man. And that’s cool as a fan with me because every person in this world has a right to live the life they chose to live and be respected. Don’t get that twisted.

Do yo thang playa! But the REAL courage comes to play when a boy is in full holla mode and you have to tell him what it is for real. Now if you don’t tell him then you’ve defrauded a boy and that’s a problem. That’s when it gets dangerous out here because if a boy had no intentions of hollerin’ at a dude and he finds out durin’ the process or after the fact, all hell breaks loose. 

When ole boy pulls his gun lookin’ for a holster and there isn’t one that’s a problem. When that dun ends up in a sword fight when there wasn’t one expected it gets dangerous. I’m just sayin’, because that wasn’t his intent when he started the conversation. That's real talk playas whether you wanna realize it or not. 

The first red flag is when you run up on a 65 year old broad named Caitlyn! There weren't namin' duns Caitlyn back in 1950 bruh! Chicks that are 65 are named Betty, Doris, Bertha, Ruthy Mae not Caitlyn. That's like hollerin' at a 90 year old chick named Lacreisha or an old cat daddy named LaMarcus. Now his name might be Leroy but it sure ain't "La" nothin'!

If you’re straight up with a boy from jump then you’ve given him the opportunity to say “Yeah, I’m cool with that” or “Naw playa, I don’t get down like that.” What cats have to understand is that we ALL have to be respectful of other people. You can’t be disrespectful to someone because they chose to live differently than you do. But just as importantly, duns like Caitlyn Jenner can’t be so self-absorbed in fulfillin’ their dream of becomin’ the person they’ve always wanted to be and not tell a boy what’s real when he’s hollerin’. Because what’s real playa is that Caitlyn Jenner is still a dun named Bruce by DNA. He just looks like Caitlyn. And if a boy starts hollerin’ at her he needs to know what’s real before it goes any further. That’s called bein’ respectful of other people and havin’ the COURAGE to keep it real with a boy.

Now I know ole boy says that he's still into chick but he's still gotta be straight up with them too. Because he may run into a woman that likes women and not dudes. He's still gotta keep it real. That's courage playboy! Not just lookin' the part! Then and only then will cats fully respect you. And don’t get mad at me for sayin’ what 90 percent of cats are thinkin’ playboy. Stop me when I start lyin’!
