Naturally Uncomfortable (Why boyz need to look at the Michael Sam situation through the eyes of real people)

Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will.” Mahatama Gandhi gave it to us like this, “Anger and intolerance are the enemies of correct understanding.” Then Albert Einstein sounded like a real G when he said, “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.”

Y’all know how I do. I sit in the cut and let all of the dull talking heads talk crazy about something and then I give you the REAL that they don’t have the capacity to break down. Now everybody and their momma has been talking about this whole Michael Sam situation and why the cats in the NFL are so intolerant or like some clowns have even used the term homophobic. The crazy thing is that nobody is trying to understand this from a real world perspective playboy!

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st! Michael Sam has the right to be whoever he wants to be pimpin’! God loves everybody. If he’s gay and he wants to be a professional football player then good for him. My problem isn’t with him it’s with all of the clowns out here that are attacking the current players because they may be uncomfortable with a gay teammate.

It’s not that the players don’t like him because he’s gay. There uncomfortable with him being in the locker room because he’s gay. Let me put it where the goats can get it playboy. If they instituted a rule on your job today that all male and female employees regardless of their sexual orientation had to take showers together before going home at the end of the work day; there would be a lot of people upset and uncomfortable with that situation. That's real talk!

There is a reason why they have male and female facilities at work and in public venues. Why? Because people would be uncomfortable with using the toilet with the opposite sex. Why? Because there is always the threat that some dude would be checking out or trying to holler at the female in the room or vice versa.

Sexual orientation is driven by what you like and what you want playboy. So whatever you like or want you tend to look at and in many instances lust after. So it's only natural for someone to be uncomfortable being butt naked in front of someone that has an appetite for their particular sex. Especially if they aren't trying to get with them.

That doesn’t make the woman in this example heterophobic. No! It just makes her naturally comfortable and she has a right to be! So why is it that male athletes can’t have the right to be uncomfortable in the shower with a guy that likes dudes? That doesn’t make them homophobic. It simply makes them naturally uncomfortable and that’s completely normal.

It's like you being at your best friend's wedding and everybody is getting ready at Big Momma's house. You're rushing because you're running late and there's only one shower in the crib. So all of the heterosexual women get into the shower together because none of them have an appetite for women. You're running late too and you try to get in the shower with them and they're uncomfortable with that. Why? Because you have an appetite for women regardless of whether you're interested in any of them or not. Are they wrong for telling you that they don't want you in the shower? Not at all!

Let's take it a step further. You're in the shower and you're gay friend is running late too and he wants to get in the shower with you. If you say no does that make you homophobic or just uncomfortable with showering with him? He's been cool with you since elementary school but you ain't gettin' in the shower with him. That doesn't make you a bad person. It's just makes you uncomfortable.

The duns in the locker room aren’t saying that they don’t like the guy because he’s gay. They just don’t want to get in my Bernie Mac voice, “Bucket Naked” with him in the shower because it makes them uncomfortable. Why? Because 98% of the males playing sports have extremely high levels of testosterone that’s why they’re able to play the games at such a high level. The testosterone is driving their reasoning for doing everything they do.

Sometimes people need to step back and put themselves into the situations that they are blasting boyz about. If they just did that every now and then they wouldn’t sound so foolish. People have the right to be whoever and whatever they decide to be. However, the cat standing next to them has a right to his or her beliefs too. Tolerance goes both ways playboy! Stop me when I start lyin’!
