G-Move (Why Kevin Garnett is the poster child for what it takes to be GREAT)

Whether the assistance we received was obvious or subtle, acknowledging someone’s help is a big part of understanding the importance of saying thank you.”

Well playas…the big homie Kevin Garnett said thank you to the fans on Monday night as his Timberwolves played the LA Clippers. Ole boy went into his own pocket and bought 1000 tickets for the fans just to say, “Thanks for lookin’ out homie!” Sure, they lost the game 102-97 but that isn’t the point playa.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st! For a boy to buy 1000 tickets for fans was a power move bruh! Let’s put it like this, it was a G Move more than anything. Sure, KG has the bread to do it but that’s not the point. It’s the fact that he took the time to do it. There are a ton of cats in the league that could have done somethin’ like that but they didn’t.

It’s not the cost of the tickets that I’m talkin’ about pimpin’! It’s the mere gesture that counts. Ole boy’s been in the league for 20 years bruh! After that long he could easily be numb to what the fans think and most cats wouldn’t even care about whether a dun comes to the games or not. That right there shows passion bruh!

I’ve been sayin’ for 90 percent of those 20 years that KG was my favorite player of all-time! Not because he’s one of the best power forwards to ever play the game. Not because he was a 15-time All-Star. Not because he made the NBA All-Defensive team 9 times, won the league MVP in ‘04 or won an NBA Championship in ’08. Naw playa, KG has been my favorite player because of one reason! His passion.

I have never seen a player play with the passion and enthusiasm that he plays with EVERY night! Ole boy plays a Tuesday night game in February against a dun like Charlotte with the same energy that he would play the Lakers with in the Finals. Passion is what made him a great player and so many cats have ignored that.

Very few people get up and go to work with that type of passion. It’s the kind of drive that separates the good from the great. It determines whether a boy was simply in the ride or drove it. Most people don’t understand that DNA will only get you so far.

Let me put it where the goats can it playa. DNA will get you into the party but you still gotta put it work if you’re gonna get anywhere with that Bad-Bad standin’ at the bar. Now every cat in the joint is eyeing her too. Why? Because she’s bad! Now what? It works the same way in life and in the NBA.

KG showed boyz how to effectively go to work every day. Oh yeah, did I mention that he was the highest paid NBA player of All-Time? He’s made more bread than any player in the history of the game in NBA salary. He’s made a staggerin’ $328,562,398! That’s not endorsements bruh! That’s salary alone!

Maybe duns like RGIII, Johnny Manziel and others can learn a thing or two from an O.G. like KG. Handle your business first and the bread will come. Salute to the big homie Kevin Garnett for holdin’ it down like a real playa should! Like him or not he's bringin' his lunch to work EVERY night! Stop me when I start lyin’!
