Born To Mack (How the Pacers knocked off Golden State and took their theme music)

"Get off me son! I got game too!"
Colin Powell once said, “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.” Calvin Coolidge jumped out of the whip and said, “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” Then Elbert Hubbard, the well-known writer, shut it down with, “A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.”

Well playas…at the beginnin’ of the season the Indiana Pacers looked like a MASH unit on the floor and Frank Vogel was playin’ a game of transformers just to compete. With boyz goin’ down with injury after injury the Pacers looked like they’d be in line for an extremely early draft pick playa. Now they’re a game out of the 8th playoff spot after knockin’ off the best team in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors, 104-98 at the crib on Sunday night.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Golden State fell off in the joint bumpin’ that DJ Khaled “All I Do Is Win” joint with the windows rolled down, the seat leaned all the back hollerin’ at broads out of the window. Why not? They were the best team in the freakin’ league sittin’ on a 43-9 record with the Splash Brothers in the back seat. Indiana, on the other hand, was 11 games below .500 and in Golden State’s mind it’s freakin’ Indiana bruh! What could happen? We’re the baddest cats in the league from the Bay Area, home of the hustlas, pimps and playas. As a matter of fact, Too Short is the mascot and “Born To Mack” is the theme music.

Steph came out to shoot around and his right ankle was sore so boyz decided to sit him. After all, it’s Indiana right? Golden State parked the whip, jumped out and gave the Pacers the business in the first quarter bruh. They popped ‘em for 38 points on 56 percent shootin’ from the field and led by 12. Cats sittin’ in the ride were like ‘this is gonna be easy tonight playa! Ima get crazy run!’

Then all of a sudden the Pacers locked down on a boy and only gave up 60 points the next three quarters on a mere 38 percent shootin’. Rodney Stuckey came out of the ride on these boyz to lead the Pacers with 30 and a bench that put up 61 pimpin’! C.J. Watson came off of the bench to drop 12 and Luis Scola 11while Golden State was lookin’ for the starters to do damage. CJ Miles is doin’ his thing in the startin’ lineup now and dropped off an easy 13 while George Hill put 12 in the kitty.

The Pacers defense put in work on the NBA’s best team by holdin’ them to only two cats in double figures. Now Klay Thompson must have been listenin’ to that Sade “Smooth Operator” or better yet, the Big Daddy Kane version because that dun was as smooth as Goldie in “The Mack” bruh. He came out and effortlessly put up 39 on a boy. I’m just glad that Steph took the night off with the sore ankle because boyz couldn’t have kept both of those duns in check.

Again, give Frank Vogel mad credit for steerin’ this ship through the obstacle course of injuries and ghetto pot holes at the beginnin’ of the season. Now they’ve won 6 out of 7 games scorin’ at least 100 points in each of those wins and on the verge of a playoff spot. Somebody’s gotta get the credit playboy and I believe Frank deserves it. And it doesn’t hurt that George Hill has been a difference maker on both ends of the floor. Persistence is a beast bruh as the Pacers drive off bumpin' Golden State's theme music!
