The Corner-back position is reserved for the best athletes on the field playboy because they're sittin' out there on an island and there's no hidin'! These are the duns that can't afford to get caught sleepin'. Let's take a look at the best to play this coveted position!

 This ain't the quarterbacks so I don't need to look at stats to see who was the best at this position. You can eyeball these duns and get it right. That's if you know the game of football. This ain't baseball which is essentially an individual sport played with other guys on the field at the same time. If you're battin' it's completely up to you to hit the ball. If you're on base, it's completely up to you to steal a base etc. The game of football is the ultimate team sport. So therefore, your success in terms of the team is always contingent upon what your teammates do or don't do. So that's why I didn't look at wins/losses/Super Bowls etc.. The ultimate question is, can you play playa?


1. Deion Sanders

"Prime Time"

No question that Deion was the best to ever do it because of not only his ability to shut half of the joint down but because he dared quarterbacks to throw his way. He was definitely goin' to take it the distance whenever he got hold to the ball.  Like I've said before nobody brought more swagger to the game of football than "Prime Time". When you look up the definition of corner Deion's picture comes up.

2. Rod Woodson

"Could do everything!"

Probably the most athletic guy I've ever seen. Wasn't known for his ability to hit but he wasn't paid to hit. He was paid to cover and that he did. No question "Woody" belongs in this group.

3. Ronnie Lott

"The Hitter"

The hardest hitting corner of all-time! This guy was way before his time when it came to playin' the position. He was always goin' to let guys know that he was on the field by bringin' the thunder on every play. By the way: Ronnie Lott was a Pro Bowler at both corner and safety positions playboy! So don't holla my way that Ronnie wasn't a corner pimpin' because I know who played where. Look him up! And guess what bruh? When I put my Safety list out Ronnie will be at the top of that joint. 

4. Darrell Green

 "Ageless Wonder"

He was deadly in one on one coverage because of his remarkable speed. Retired and at 50 years old he still ran a 4.3 forty. Boyz couldn't escape him.

5. Champ Bailey

"Mr. Half Of The Field"

This cat was incredible to watch. He would literally shut down half of the field and had unbelievable technique at the corner position. Ball skills were ridiculous! No one could turn their hips better and more smoothly than Champ.


I know there are a lot of old timers are wonderin' why duns like Willie Brown, Mike Haynes and Mel Blunt didn't make the list. There is definitely a case for Charles Woodson as well because of his athletic ability and ball skills. Can't put Darrelle Revis on there because he was only great for a season and a half then he got hurt and hasn't been the same cat since. Gotta put in work for longer than that bruh! 

Again, my favorite question is, "Who am I goin' to take off of the list to put them on?" That's not to say those guys weren't incredible corners but it's only a list of five. That's my list you playa, what's yours?
