Big League Hustle (How Mo'ne Davis is bein' exploited & nobody seems to care)

"I bet when they sold your jersey you got paid for it Barry!"
Joseph Stalin once said, “Mankind is divided into rich and poor, into property owners and exploited; and to abstract oneself from this fundamental division; and from the antagonism between poor and rich means abstracting oneself from fundamental facts. Fidel Castro stood up and shouted, “The revolution is a dictatorship of the exploited against the exploiters. Then Zadie Smith, the famous English novelist, shut the building down with, “Desperation, weakness, vulnerability – these things will always be exploited. You need to protect the weak, ring-fence them, with something far stronger than empathy.”

Well…somebody needs to ring-fence Mo’ne Davis playboy because the powers that be aren’t protectin’ her at all in includin' her momma and daddy. As a matter of fact, they’re takin’ advantage of her and nobody’s blinked a freakin’ eye. Every time one of these fake media type cats gets in front of the camera and says, “Mo’ne’s jersey is sold out here at the park I get sick to my stomach.

Since when did they start sellin’ the freakin’ 12 and 13 year olds jerseys that are playin’ in the Little League World Series? Then to top that off Sports Illustrated has her on the cover of their joint this week. Then all of a sudden a Little League baseball game draws 34,128 people to the joint that wasn’t free to get into playa.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I completely get the fact that it’s the LLWS and that it’s normally on TV. It’s a great exposure opportunity for the kids. I’m not trippin’ off of that. But what I am trippin’ on is the fact that somebody is makin’ a boat load of bread off of the sale of Mo’ne’s jersey and that little girl isn’t seein’ a dime of it.

What is appallin’ is that all of the freakin’ adults watchin’ this foolishness take place aren’t sayin’ a word. It’s like everybody is standin’ around watchin’ a strong arm robbery take place and nobody is willin’ to call 911! The duns on Good Morning America, George Stephanopoulos in particular, thought that it was the coolest thing in the world that her jersey continues to be sold out. He’s got freakin’ kids! How would he feel if his daughter or son were playin’ and everybody at the park were wearin’ his kid’s jersey and nobody hollered at him about it and stuffed some bread into his pocket?

When the LLWS is over in a week that little girl and her teammates are gonna go back to Philly to whatever situation they lived in before good or bad. But the dun that was sellin’ her jersey is gonna buy a new crib or better yet be able to invest that bread into another profitable venture without havin’ to pay the very person that allowed him or her to get paid in the first place. Wheredeydodatat? In America! Don’t look at me funny playboy!

It’s like the NCAA all over again and just like the NCAA there are duns screamin’ “look at what the LLWS series is doin’ for her. She’s famous and now all of the college coaches know who she is.” You sound like a complete fool with that homeboy. As good as she is they were gonna know who she was anyway. She didn’t need to be in the LLWS to get a scholarship. So don’t try to run that hustle past a hustla. I can recognize game a mile away bruh.

Pay her and her family the bread you owe them pimpin’! Sports Illustrated ran game too. I know you didn’t think that I was gonna get out of here without really callin’ these boyz out too. By puttin’ Mo’ne on the cover they probably doubled the sales of that joint this week because the world has fallin’ in love with this little girl.

"I wonder how many of these they sold too?"
Her parents should have kept it 100 with Sports Illustrated and told them, "Sure you can put my baby on the cover but before you do that. I need you to deposit a cool $250K into her college fund playboy. Otherwise, you can kick rocks!

At the very least the dun sellin’ the jerseys, Sports Illustrated and ESPN needs to ante up and make sure a mysterious brief case FULL of bread shows up in Philly when ole girl gets back to the crib. Then and only then will we call it even. Because if everybody else that is involved in the production of the game from the TV cameramen, analysts, reporters, ticket sales people, the duns parkin’ cars to sellin’ popcorn and peanuts, the cats sellin’ ad space to the freakin’ guy sellin’ jerseys is gettin’ paid. Then the kids need to be gettin’ paid too. Especially Mo’ne Davis! Otherwise, it should be free and nobody should be acceptin’ money for showin’ up to work. I’m talkin’ but y’all ain’t listenin’.

Last night she brought in a record TV audience with a 143 percent increase from last year's LLWS! For all of you simple minded individuals, that means that she was responsible for more than doublin' the tournament's TV viewership in one night playboy. And ESPN didn't give a percentage of the bread that they made on ad space to the Mo'ne Davis scholarship fund you can believe that pimpin'.

Boyz are even sellin' her autograph on eBay bruh! An autographed Mo'ne David baseball just sold for $510 and nobody's trippin' but me! She's 12! Are you freakin' kiddin'me?

Like ole girl said earlier, as long as there is desperation, weakness and vulnerability there will always be boyz sittin’ in the cut ready to exploit. Stop me when I start lyin’!
