"I just play mad bruh and I'm cool with that!" |
If that’s the case then Pacers guard, Lance Stephenson, has to be the happiest cat on earth. After missing the Atlanta Hawks game on Wednesday night the beast from Brooklyn was back bringing the edge to the Indiana Pacers as they beat the doors off of the Washington Wizards 93-66. Even though ole boy recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds it’s not the numbers that makes him special on the floor.
He brings enough edge to the floor to spark the duns around him. Lance calls it playing mad but I call it bringing enough hood to the floor for boyz to recognize it that it’s on and poppin’!
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Every team needs a guy that gives them a reason to be pissed off for no reason. I know it’s just a basketball game but if you’re lively-hood is wrapped up in it then it’s serious business and I’m cool with a boy showing up to work pissed off for no reason, especially if it gets everybody around him going and that it did.
The Pacers must have taken the slim Jim out of ole Norman’s hands in the parking lot because they went to work on the glass. They out rebounded the Wizards 61-41 and completely destroyed the paint job 38-18! Alarms were going off all night but the cops just kept driving by like they didn’t hear a thing.
David West led all of the foolishness with 20 points while C.J. Watson came off of the bus unloading on boyz without missing a shot. He threw his transfer down and went 6 for 6 from the field to finish with 16 points.
The normally consistent Paul George struggled to get a freakin’ door open during all of the chaos. He went 2-14 from the floor for only 8 points but played some hella defense once boyz figured out they’re rides were being taken right in front of their eyes. PG couldn’t get the joint started but he was a beast at breaking the glass as he picked up 12 rebounds and kept boyz like John Wall from finding his rhythm.
When asked of his assessment of Paul George’s play Frank Vogel simply said, “He dominated the game!” Why? Because he was a beast on the glass and his defensive stops were unmatched.
Now the crazy thing about all of the parking lot foolishness on Friday night was that boyz couldn’t for some reason take the cars that were unlocked. Both teams were terrible from the foul line. The Pacers were 6-13 for 46% and the Wizards were even worse shooting 9-23 for 39%. I guess the moral of the story is to not lock your vehicle around these duns because the probability of a boy taking it significantly declines at Bankers Fife Fieldhouse on a rainy Friday night in January.
Now if you’re looking to take over the game out here it’s imperative for you to have a cat in the ride that plays mad. He’s got to bring enough hood to the table to be dangerous but enough sense to stay out of trouble and Lance is my guy! On some real talk playboy, if you don't like his game you don't like basketball! Stop me when I start lyin’!
Holla At Ya Boy!
