Gettin' Money (The REAL reason Lance Stephenson was unstoppable in Brooklyn. Pacers 103 Nets 86)

While on the subway headed over to Brooklyn from Manhattan I sat down next to these old cats arguing about mercy. Abraham Lincoln said, “I have always found that mercy bears richer fruits than strict justice.” Winston Churchill ignored the no smoking sign and said while the cigarette was still hangin’ out of side of his mouth, “All the great things are simple and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope. Then Calvin Coolidge hit the emergency stop botton on boyz when he broke this down, “Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.”

Not if you play for the Indiana Pacers and you’re playin’ at the freakin’ crib two days before Christmas playboy! Not if you’re a Brooklyn legend and your name is Lance Stephenson! Not when all of the homies are gonna be on the building and you’re repin’ the borough! Mercy wasn’t even a part the vocabulary for those 48 minutes as the Pacers beat the brakes off of the Nets 103-86.

Lance led all scorers with 26 points! Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st! Nobody in Brooklyn cares about the Nets bruh! NYC is all about the Knicks playa! You can’t just move into the neighborhood in the middle of the night and expect for boyz to all of a sudden rep you just cuz you hollerin’ Brooklyn! You gotta earn that pimpin’ and ole Lance has already done that.

For all you boyz that didn’t know, this dun while in high school at Abraham Lincoln became the all-time career scoring leader (3,000 points) in the STATE of New York son not the city! He’s legendary status in the borough. So when they talk about the greats from BK not only do boyz holla Jay-Z, Biggie, Mc Lyte, Big Daddy Kane, Mos Def, GZA and ODB. When they start talking about that round ball boyz start with the high school greats and Lance is at the top of the list playboy!

Now that he’s getting comfortable in his 4^th year in the league folks are starting to see what I told this stud in his 2^nd year. I remember standing at his locker and telling him that I see the flashes of greatness and as soon as the game slows down for him everybody else will see it too. If you don't believe me pull the tape! Now all of these boyz glasses are starting to focus on what Ya Boy saw 2 years ago. He was just outta control because he knew he could do it but it was a matter of allowing the game to slow down. Now it’s like playing in high school all over again for him.

Remember that I said it first playboy! Lance Stephenson is the REAL deal and he’ll become an ALL-Star in this league. He’s already the only dun in the league this season with a triple double and he’s got 3 of them but because he plays in Indiana the world doesn’t know about it. Just sit in the cut and wait til it gets “Turnt Up” during the playoffs and you’ll say, TheJayGravesReport was spittin’ that truth like he always does!

Coming off of their only losing streak of the season after dropping joints to Detroit and Miami; the boyz from Naptown have completely dismantled the last three duns (Houston, Boston and now Brooklyn) standing in the middle of the street by a combined 77 points.

Don’t get it twisted bruh, Lance wasn’t the only one bumpin’ that Biggie during warm ups either. Paul George wasn’t trying to let the homie ride solo through the borough as he put up his usual 26 points too. David West added another 13 for good measure just to make sure Lance got a chance to kick it at the crib.

Now what’s up with Jason Kidd bruh? This dun continues to show why he wasn’t ready for the job. Not just by losing ball games but by the way he handles situations. Now y’all already know that I clowned him about the “Bump into me” episode right? Now this dun goes on record saying, “We’re getting comfortable with losing and we’ve got to make a stand with that because when things get tough, do we just give in? And most of the time right now we do.”

Now if that’s what you really think that’s cool but you don’t say it to boyz with cameras and mics that are live bruh! You gotta remember that you’ve got a team in there that just got the doors blown off of them by some cat from the neighborhood. And guess who’s gonna be poppin’ bottles in the club tonight sitting in the VIP lounge that the Net’s usually occupy? Ole Lance and the rest of the cats that REALLY and TRULY rep the borough bumpin’ that Gettin’ Money, “Is Brooklyn in the House? Without a doubt!!!!”
