The Carter (Why Frank Vogel is the new Nino Brown! Celtics 79 Pacers 106)

I stopped by the Kountry Kitchen deep in the hood to pick up some soul food on my way to Bankers Life FieldHouse and overheard these cats outside discussing the matters of control. Mark Twain took a choke of his square and said, “Laws control the lesser man…Right conduct controls the greater one.” This short frail cat rockin’ some hot sandals they call Gandhi stood up and said, “I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me no control over the moment following.” Then Brain Tracy, the motivational speaker, got off of the pay phone and got boyz attention with, “You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.”

Well playboy, all the Boston Celtics could do was master change on Sunday night because they had no control over the beating that they took from the Indiana Pacers 106-79. If you didn’t know any better, you would have sworn that the joint was the Carter and that Frank Vogel was Nino Brown calling the shots.

The Pacers kept shooters on the roof and every time Boston made a move boyz were raining shots to make sure they understood who was in control of the joint. Paul George tried to take it easy on these cats in the first half by only firing a few warning shots with 6 points. However, these duns from Boston kept trying their luck and he exploded in the third quarter for 18 points just to let a boy know in his Puffy Daddy ‘94 voice before he changed his name to P. Diddy and then to Diddy Dirty Money, “It’s real in the field", "Take that, Take that” and "Come on."

Big Boy Roy Hibbert posted up in the middle of the court yard and gave boyz the business with 15 points,12 rebounds and 3 blocks. Lance Stephenson was all over the building making sure that all of the snipers were locked and load as he finished with his third triple double of the season with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 dimes. He’s the only dun in the league this year to even post a triple double bruh. In his Jim Jones voice, “We fly high, no lie, you know this-BALLIN’!”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st! Boyz are gonna have major problems the rest of the way trying to take over the Carter because the Pacers keep bringing shooters off of the bench. Now that Danny Granger is back, it’s a serious problem bruh! He was 4 of 5 shooting from behind the arc to finish with 12 points. Then cats like Luis Scola and C.J. Watson gave them even more fire power with 9 points each off of the bench.

It’s ridiculous son! These boyz as a team shot 49% from the field and 47% from 3-point land. On some real talk, they hit 50% of the duns trying to get in the building at whatever distance. Not to mention that they held the gangstas from Boston to only 38% shooting. Ole Nino Brown has these studs rolling right now and the only thing that could get in their way is complacency.

You know how it goes bruh, when a boy gets control of the hood it’s never some cat from another hood that takes him out. It’s always somebody from his own camp that rises up and shoots him in the back of the head. That’s why they have to keep their heads on a swivel because the boyz from South Beach are the two time defending champs and on some real talk they REALLY own the Carter. These duns from Indiana have just taken over the joint for the time being because they’ve got the best record in the East.

Please understand that they aren’t going to just let the Pacers have that joint without a fight. As long as they hold the deed to the building the Pacers better keep those shooters on the roof if they want to control the joint come late May-early June to get to the Finals because in some G.I. street lingo, “it ain’t gone be easy playboy!” Am I my brother’s keeper?
