Caught Up (How the Trailblazers finally hemmed the Pacers up at the bar 106-102)

As I pulled into the parking lot of the hottest night club in Portland, the Moda Center, I ran into two poets and an abolitionist talking about temptation. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “We gain the strength of the temptation we resist.” Oscar Wilde was sitting on the hood of his whip when he broke this down, “The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it…I can resist everything but temptation.” Then Henry Ward Beecher put his square out, poured out a ‘lil liquor and said, “All men are tempted. There is no man that lives that can’t be broken down, provided it is the right temptation, put in the right spot.”

Well the Indiana Pacers were finally broken down by the game thrown at them by the Portland Trailblazers on Monday night 106-102. The Pacers had only fallen to temptation one other time all season and boyz around here have been ready to wife them because of it.

She’s a good girl and it’s always hard to find one like her in these streets but like I said before playboy, it’s a long season and you’ve got to let things play out before you start trying to put a ring on her finger. On some real talk, I can’t be mad at her for getting caught up in the club on Monday because the Blazers were one of the hottest cats in the West at 15-3. They’re off to their best start since the 1998-99 season.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1^st! At least ole girl took an “L” from a cat that was ballin’ bruh! If your girl is gonna cheat on you it’s gotta at least be with a cat that’s got just as much or more bread and power as you do. A boy can live with that. Just don’t let it be some scrub type cat that doesn’t have any swag, game or bread. Now that would hurt!

If a boy’s got all the ingredients that you know women look for in a man superficially like bread, confidence, power and respect from all of the G’s in the building, there’s really nothing you can do but take the “L” sometimes playboy and step ya game up.

Paul George did everything that he could to help fight them off, scoring a career high 43 points in a thriller. So as the Blazers were spitting game in her ear at the bar and even though it was sounding good, PG kept pulling her away convincing her that she was better than that. “Think about what you got at the crib! Keep fightin’” he said, as he was reigning 3’s on those boyz but it wasn’t enough to save ole girl.

However, like I said in my joint yesterday entitled "West Coast Creepin'" that if the Pacers wore something too revealing LaMarcus Aldridge would hem her up in a corner and throw his best game at her and that he did. Ole boy threw 28 points her way and picked off 10 rebounds that she simply couldn’t resist. Then Damian Lillard added 26 to the running tab at the bar to close out the deal.

On some real talk, the Pacers have nothing to be ashamed of. Temptation gets the best of us bruh. They still have both the best record and best defense in the league. It’s the NBA for crying out loud playboy; they’re going to get caught up from time to time. Just don’t get caught up by some clown trying to look like somebody that he saw on TV. For example, like when cats are dressed up like gimmicks at the club looking like Chris Brown or Kanye West or boyz trying to dress like TheJayGravesReport. No matter how hard you try, the suit won't look as good on you as it does me pimp. Why? Because it ain't in the suit, it's in the tailor and the playa in the suit!

If your girl has to get caught make sure the dun walking out of the joint with her has tall flavor, style and is ballin’ like the Trailblazers because you can recover from that loss bruh! You just gotta step ya game up the next time you show up because your bread is just as long as his, your whip is just as hot and your game is just as good if not better! Stop me when I start lyin’! Next stop, Utah!!
