Let's Ride! (Tebow to Patriots)

Winston Churchill said, “True genius is the capacity for evaluation of uncertain, hazardous, and conflicting information.” Abraham Lincoln leaned over and said, “Towering genius disdains a beaten path. It seeks regions hitherto unexplored.” Then Lao Tzu broke boyz off with this, “To see things in the seed, that is genius.”

Well the New England Patriots not only see things in the seed but they tend to see them before the seed is formed. That's why they are one of the best run organizations in sports because they always operate with the end in mind. Bill Belichick is one of the most hated coaches in the league because he out thinks cats or cheats, whatever side of the fence you live on, more than he cares to remember. On Monday it was announced that Tim Tebow would be signing with the team and is expected to be in mandatory mini-camp on Tuesday.

The move is straight genius homeboy because Tebow is a real football player that can play multiple positions on the field and be effective. Let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! He can be lined up in the slot (throw him bubble screens, option & underneath joints), at tight end, in the wild cat (he can run, throw or option out of it) and at quarterback all in one series of downs. Having him and Brady on the field at the same time would be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

 Belichick is the one guy that is smart enough to take advantage of Tebow's talent and most importantly his leadership. Don’t get it twisted bruh, he’s a natural born leader and there are very few people in the world that are. To have that type of personality in your locker room is like finding gold in the middle of the Sahara Desert.

If nothing else he’ll keep boyz focused and motivated to play outside of themselves at all times but you've got to use him for that to rub off. The genie is no good to you unless you rub the bottle and let him out. There is no question that Tom Brady is the starting quarterback playboy. However, Tebow brings so much to the table that the offensive coordinator is like a dope fiend right now thinking about all of the different possibilities and scenarios this cat gives you.

Boyz have completely forgotten that Rob Gronkowski has had 4 surgeries on his forearm this offseason and that the Patriots offense is most effective when they have two tight ends not just one. Tebow can give you another option at tight end too bruh! The freaking guy is 6'3" 250 plus pounds and very athletic. Like I keep saying, he’s too versatile of a player not to be in the NFL.

I saw that dun at the NFL Combine when he was coming out of Florida a few years ago. While I was having dinner with my cousin who was the GM of the Arizona Cardinals at the time, Tebow came past the table. Everybody sitting there said, "that kid is gonna play in the NFL regardless of position because he's a football player first and foremost. You can’t just lock him into one position."  

New England was just smart enough to sit in the cut and wait for ole boy to get desperate enough to humble himself to listen. See Tebow has refused to play tight end etc. in the past. Now that he’s been sitting on his butt without a team I would bet everything I’ve got that the Patriots stepped to him like this:

 “Listen here big playa! If you still wanna play football we got something for you but you gotta be willing to play where we want you to play homeboy. Tom Brady is the man around these parts pimpin’ but we can use you. You down? Well let’s ride!”

It was just that simple. Sit back and watch how they’ll use him to beat the breaks off of the league this year. There will be no press conference and circus to introduce him to the media either. Ole boy will be on the field this morning practicing like the rest of the team with no window dressing. Belichick isn’t gonna comment on it and neither will Tim. He’s been swallowed up by the Patriots system now and that’s good for everybody. Let's Ride!
