The Bucket List

"I can't go out like this! Ima start calling boyz out now!" 

Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.” Booker T. Washington gave it to us like this, “Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.” Big Momma just kept it real by saying, “If you gone be something baby, you gotta get off of yo butt and do it. Cuz it ain’t gone come knock on this front door!”

Well the Lakers tried to create “Showtime” in the off-season by bringing in Steve Nash and Buster Brown Dwight Howard to play with the Black Mamba. In barber shops all over the country boyz were predicting that the Lakers were going to win the NBA title and Kobe would get his sixth championship on talent alone. 

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Nowhere in the history of sports has a team just showed up and won a title on DNA bruh! You can’t just put boyz together and expect to win. It doesn’t work like that son! I know that all of the Laker fans out there are standing on roof tops this morning after pulling their toe nails off last night ready to jump. Who would have thought that the beloved Lakers would be 0-2 after losing opening night to the Mavs without Dirk at the crib and then getting run out of the gym by dull Portland 116-106 on the road last night?  Well, anybody that understands the process of being successful. 

I takes time to build team chemistry and for boyz to get comfortable playing together. Just ask Miami. It was only clown fans that thought that they should have won a title the first year they were together. Talent alone doesn’t win titles! A good front office, talent, team chemistry, luck and good health wins them. So the question is, will LA be able to win a title with this group of players? A resounding NO bruh! SMH for all of the delusional Laker fans out there. LeBron and Co. has this joint on lock for at least the next 3 or 4 bruh! They've got the talent, the chemistry and the shooters coming off of the bench!

This group of Lakers will never have the chemistry that it takes to win a title because Kobe is desperate to be Michael Jordan and win his sixth ring and he’s getting old. The problem is that he’s a jerk  just like Jordan but he’s playing with Dwight Howard. See Jordan always had yes men playing with him. He always had true role players including Pippen and Rodman when he was winning titles. So he could say and do whatever he wanted to on the floor and in the locker room and nobody tripped. 

However, Kobe has guys playing with him like Dwight Howard and Steve Nash that have always been the 1st option or the franchise cats. Now they’ve got to play a different roles. They could be cool with that but can they be cool with Kobe talking crazy to them because you know he will? Ain’t gonna happen bruh because like I keep saying, Dwight especially, is Buster Brown!  He’s as soft as drugstore cotton candy in the head and he’s not gonna be able to take it. So as the season progresses and he happens to go 3-14 from the free throw line, the desperate old man with the bucket list in Kobe will start giving him the business and he’ll fall apart. Guaranteed!!! It's like this, he'll either fall apart or jump on Kobe and beat the brakes off of him! Have you seen the guns of that dun? Either way its not good for team chemistry. I’m not even going to get into the fact that Steve Nash is a liability on defense because he’s old! We're just two games in and he's hurt already! Who’s he gonna check deep in the playoffs if he's still standing in June? The cat is darn near 40 bruh!

So when Henry Ford says, “Working together is success.” That’s real talk! If they don’t figure out how to work together it’s gonna be a long season homeboy! Can the Black Mamba respect his new teammates enough to keep from blasting them in the media? Naw bruh, because he's Kobe! The jerk in him is always going to take over! It won’t be long before these boyz are infighting and calling each other out in the media and I can’t wait! Its great TV and great for my line of work! It’ll give me something to write and laugh about all season long! Let’s keep it real, everybody else is just playing for second place!
