Why Barkley is the Uncle that keeps gettin' beat up at the family cookout! "Enough Already"

"That was reckless wasn't it bruh! Yeah, I was hatin'!"
Bohidharma, the 6th century Buddhist monk, once said, "The ignorant mind, with its infinite afflictions, passions, and evils, is rooted in the three poisons. Greed, anger, and delusion." Benjamin Franklin gave it to us like this, "We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid." Then H.L. Mencken, the famous journalist, put it where the goats could get it when he spit, "I believe that it is better to tell the truth than a lie. I believe it is better to be free than to be a slave. And I believe it is better to know than to be ignorant."

Well playas...since I believe that it's better to know than to be ignorant. I stopped listenin' to Charles Barkley darn near 30 years ago. However, duns with reputable sports radio and TV shows keep interviewin' this cat and allowin' him to talk reckless without callin' him to the carpet. So on Wednesday mornin' this cat was on Dan Patrick's Show talkin' like a stark raving maniac about these young boyz in the NBA again. When asked what he thought about Tracy McGrady's comments on the Steph winnin' the MVP unanimously and the league bein' watered down he agreed. Look here bruh don't get me to lyin'! Here's what this cat said:

"The NBA is watered down. The NBA is the worst I've ever seen it. I think we've got to address all the kids coming into the NBA after one year (in college)," he said. "I think it has something to do with all these kids we're drafting out of high school ... now we're drafting kids after one year of college. It drives me crazy. They have potential, but they have no idea how to play basketball. Tracy has a great point, but it's something I've been saying for the last three years.”

He then goes on to use both Steph and Kawhi as his examples of why cats should stay in school.

Let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Again, this dun is doin' some old fashioned 3rd generation playa hatin' makin' random assumptions without doin' any homework. That's the problem that I have with these old heads bruh! They start poppin' off on emotion without even thinkin' about what they're sayin'.

He's hollerin' that the league is watered down because of cats comin' out of school early forgettin' that he came out of school early!! Now granted he wasn't a "One and Done" but that's because he wasn't good enough at 19 to to come out. Chuck was a fat kid playin' at Auburn with about 168 percent body fat at the time. Stop it! Am I lyin'? He was known as the "Round Mound of Rebound" when he came out of school. But as soon as the duns in the NBA gave him the green light to come out, he came out! Stop actin' like these cats are committin' the ultimate sin because they have the ability to go straight to the league at 19.

And durin' Chuck's era more often than not, cats were comin' out after their third year of college as opposed to their first. To say that the league is watered down because of the "One and Done" player is ignorant. When you look at the list of Rookie of the Year winners since 2006 five of the the nine (because this years rookie hasn't been named yet) players were "One and Done" cats! Stop it! You've got cats like Derrick Rose, KD, Tyreke Evans, Kyrie and Andrew Wiggins that have won it. That's 66 percent of the guys that won the freakin' award!!

And think about it bruh! Most of the best players in the league are your "One and Done's!!!" You've got cats like John Wall, Mike Conley, Jru Holiday, Jamal Crawford, Luol Deng, Zach Randolph, Kyrie, Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, DeMarcus Cousins, Andre Drummond, DeMar DeRozan, Melo, Anthony Davis, and KD!! What are you talkin' about bruh? and everybody in the league isn't a "One and Done." Most of these cat are or were in the playoffs! And this is the NBA!!! That means that these are the best players in the world!! Why wouldn't they come out if a boy is goin' to pay them upwards of $10 million over a 3 year period? You sound crazy!!

Just because a boy stays in school longer doesn't always correlate to bein' a better player. Not everybody is goin' to be a good player at the next level whether they play 4 years or 1 year. The draft is always a crap shoot bruh! I can name you a ton of cats that stayed in college for 4 years that got to the league and were trash!! Let's start with Sam Bowie!! Remember that name? Then we can jump in the ride with duns like Roy Hibbert A.K.A "Skittles and Lemonheads," Tyler Hansbrough, Adam Morrison, Joe Barry Carroll, Hasheem Thabeet, Robert "Tractor" Traylor, "me and you, yo momma and yo cousin too!" Stop it!! All of my hip hop heads got that one! Shout out to the homies OutKast!!

Don't just pull Steph and Kawhi out of the batch of cats that stayed for 4 years because they are anomolies. Steph was a little kid that went to Davidson and worked like a mad man on his game and became what he's become. Kawhi went to San Diego State and came outta nowhere to become a two-time Defensive Player or the Year and a Finals MVP. Those aren't the norm bruh and you sound crazy even tryin' to suggest that.

Just because a boy stays in school doesn't mean he's gonna be a better player. The only good that will come out of keepin' boyz in school longer is that the college game would become better and more entertainin' because it's unwatchable at this point. College basketball was amazing back in the '70's, '80's and early '90's because the best players would normally stay for 2 or 3 years. But you've got be NUTS to tell a boy that he should stay in school when they are offerin' the type of GUARANTEED bread that's on the table.

My biggest problem isn't with Barkley talkin' out of the side of his neck. My problem is with the fake media-types that won't shut him down when he starts talkin' crazy and reckless. Barkley's been talkin' crazy for more than 30 years. He's like the old uncle that comes over and acts a fool at every family cookout and ends up gettin' beat up by one of the nephews. You already know that it's gonna happen you've just gotta move all of the furniture so nothin' gets broken and he doesn't get hurt.

When Barkley starts talkin' crazy just shut him down with the facts and we're cool. And will somebody PLEASE tell me how watered down would the league has to be for the '85-'86 Bulls to make the playoffs with a record of 30-52! Stop me when I start lyin'!

Playas Thesaurus:
1) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase - to make it as plain and simple as possible.
2) Spit: verb - to say
3) Dun: noun - the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It's whoever I'm talkin' about and its non-gender specific.
