Smart vs Wise (How Chris Copeland put himself and the Pacers in jeopardy)

"You're right dawg! That wasn't a good look!"
Bill Gates once said, “Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose.” Alan Alda gave it to us like this, “Be as smart as you can, but remember that it is always better to be wise than to be smart.” Then the big homie Roy H. Williams, the best-selling author, shut the buildin’ down with, “A smart man makes a mistake, learns from it, and never makes that mistake again. But a wise man finds a smart man and learns from him how to avoid the mistake altogether.”

Well playas…the big homie, Chris Copeland, was fortunate enough to learn a valuable lesson on Wednesday mornin’ without losin’ his life. Bein’ out at 4am is never a good idea playa, especially when you’re 6’8” and rich.

He and his girl were both stabbed outside of a New York City nightclub Wednesday mornin’ while simply waitin’ on their driver. Accordin’ to reports some cat walked up on them and tried to solicit ole boy for something. When Chris refused him this fool stabbed them both. Accordin’ to witnesses there was no verbal altercation.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! My mother would always say, “Ain’t nothin’ open after midnight but legs and problems boy! Are you sure you wanna be out there?” Well, on Wednesday mornin’ ole Chris found that out first hand. What boyz don’t realize is that when you’re a celebrity or pro athlete there is always some dun out there tryin’ to make a name for himself off of you.

You’ve got a lot of haters and jealous-type cats that will take a shot at a boy on GP. Chris was out at 4am with his girl therefore he wasn’t a threat to this fool so he went for it. It’s unfortunate but Chris has to be conscious of his surroundings and of who he is.

We pray that ole boy recovers well from this incident because he did have to have surgery to repair a puncture in his diaphragm and elbow.

From a business standpoint you gotta know better than to be out at 4am because you’ve got a freakin’ job to do that evenin’! Yeah, I know they’re professional athletes and boyz don’t have curfews but this is a reason why the wise have to police themselves.

You’re grown playa and boyz shouldn’t have to tell you that it’s not a good look to be out kickin’ it at 4am until a boy gets stabbed at 4am! So I bet duns all over the league are gonna re-read what Roy H. Williams said earlier, “A smart man makes a mistake, learns from it, and never makes that mistake again. But a wise man finds a smart man(Chris Copeland) and learns from him how to avoid the mistake altogether.”

Yep Chris is the smart man that everybody just learned from pimpin’! I bet you can’t find a boy in the league outside at 4am today or tomorrow. The crazy thing is, by Saturday duns will have forgotten all about Chris and some other fool is gonna get caught up in some foolishness because when a boy is rich it gives him a false sense of security.

Boyz are like, “I don’t need security I’m cool! Ain’t nothin’ gone happen to me! My boyz got it, etc.” That’s the very cat that we’ll read about because the boyz he’s dependin’ on are out kickin’ it and their guards are down too. So now you’re hit and here we go again.

The Pacers need to win out in order to make the freakin’ playoffs bruh! So they need all hands on deck. They can’t afford for a boy to be laid up stabbed. If nothin' else it's a distraction that the team doesn't need. When you put yourself in bad situations you negatively affect everybody around you and that includes the freakin’ team! At least wait until after the season is over to kick it. Boyz should be thinkin’ about one thing and one thing only, and that’s winnin’ these remainin’ games and makin’ the darn playoffs. And that’s the edited version! Stop me when I start lyin’!

3) On GP: It stands for General Purposes, which is to say, “For the sake of it” or “For the hell of it.”
4) Pimpin’: noun – the person that I’m passionately tryin’ to get my point across to.
