Bum Rushed (How the Suns caught the Pacers sleepin' at the light & just unloaded)

"C'mon bruh! You gone let 'um come out
of the bushes on us like that?
On my way to Airways Arena in Phoenix I had to stop by my favorite joint, The Blue Hound. As I was gettin’ into this fire Kentucky fried quail, these cats at the nest table brought up the subject of being surprised. Josh Billing, the 19th century American humorist, said, “There is no greater evidence of superior intelligence than to be surprised at nothing.” Then James Baldwin, famous author, playwright and poet, wiped his mouth and said, “People who treat other people as less than human must not be surprised when the bread they have cast on the waters comes floating back to them, poisoned.”

Well the Indiana Pacers got some of that bread that ole James was hollerin’ about later on in the evening bruh! The Suns jumped out of the bushes and beat the doors off of them 124-100 and went to the crib holding everything.

The Pacers have been running through the hood all season long carjacking boyz, taking jewelry and sneakers at just about every rip. So they should have known that at some point the bum rush was comin’. They just had no idea some duns from Phoenix led by Gerald Green, of all people, would catch them sleepin’ at the light.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! When you’re out here in these streets, you’ve always got to be prepared for a boy to try to make a name for himself on you. They got the word that the Pacers were out west beating up on cats and that they had just taken everything out of Golden State’s crib on Monday. They cleaned ‘em out and Big Momma was fired up that the Warriors couldn’t protect their house any better than that.

So she called ahead to her lil’ sister Lula Mae in Phoenix and she sent her boyz out to wait on these cats. As they rolled into town bumpin’ that DJ Khaled, “All I Do Is Win” boyz came out of the bushes on ‘em. Gerald put 23 into the driver’s door to shake things up quick. Then Goran Dragic hit the passenger side with 21 as Markieff Morris blasted through the rear window with 20.

At that point the best defense in the league was disoriented and all kinds of cats that don't  normally take shots were shooting bruh. The Suns finished with 6 boyz in double figures and the Pacers were just trying not to get hit by shattered glass as they gave up sneakers, jewelry, IPhones and the numbers to the chicks they holler at when they come to town.

Paul George got off 26 but it wasn’t enough to keep them from doing major damage to the whip. George Hill added 16 to the flurry as David West climbed out of the back seat getting off 13 but at that point the tires had been flattened and duns were sneakerless laying in the street waiting on emergency personnel to show up.

It was a bad night for the boyz from Indiana but on some real talk, it happens to the best of us. At some point if you’ve been pullin’ folks around by their noses somebody is gonna get you. It just happened to be Phoenix on a Wednesday night.

Were the Suns surprised that they pulled off the heist so easily? Absolutely! But the Zen master himself, Phil Jackson, did come through and hollered at them before they got into the bushes by saying, “Approach the game with no preset agendas and you’ll probably come away surprised at your overall efforts.”

I’d say that putting up 124 points on a team that only gives up 89 a night was a complete surprise to them. It was a thorough carjacking with a strip search on the side bruh. Now the Pacers have to gather themselves up and be ready for the duns in Sacramento on Friday. What I do know about these boyz is that they won’t get caught sleepin’ again out here. Everybody in the ride will have their heads on a swivel the rest of the road trip. You can believe that playboy!
