"All About the Benjamins!"

Justin Combs and his ole man Diddy!
Since this is REAL Live Sports for REAL Live Cats and all of my hustla's are always chasing that bread. We all understand that REAL cats don't hate on folks for making money. So I gotta let something off of my chest. Why is it that people are hating on Justin Combs the son of Sean "Diddy" Combs because he EARNED a football scholarship to play at UCLA? Some California residents are up in arms that the school awarded him a scholarship because his dad is worth, according to the most recent Forbes listing released April 12, $550 million! C'mon bruh?

"UCLA's athletic department needs to consider the fact that perhaps there is another athlete on the football team who could perhaps really use this scholarship," UCLA student Neshemah Keetin told Los Angeles' CBS News affiliate. "Just being considerate that [with] our economy, students are trying to get to college through athletics and academics as well."

That sounds like a complete hater move bruh! This is the culture that our kids are growing up in now. Everybody thinks that they are supposed to get a turn at the wheel. Life isn't like little sports! Everybody doesn't get to play. Only the best come off of the bench. If the kid was good enough to get a scholarship because of his talent then he shouldn't be ashamed of the fact that his ole man is loaded! That's what it is! After all, he was a top rated cornerback coming out of high school and was offered scholarships to various schools and chose to play at UCLA.

So because his dad is rich he shouldn't except the scholarship that he earned bruh? The kid also has a 3.75 GPA to go along with his ability to play football. So what you're saying is that the only kids that can get an athletic scholarship are those that are poor or middle class? What does his ole man's bread have to do with him putting in work to EARN the scholarship? They just don't give them joints away bruh. You have to be good enough to be offered one.

Think about all of the kids that have played or are currently college athletics who's dads are former professional athletes. So should Doc Rivers son, Austin, that played at Duke last season not taken the scholarship that he was offered? I could go on and on! Tim Hardaway's son, Tim Jr., is at Michigan right now! My homeboy Glenn Robinson's son is headed there this fall. Patrick Ewing's son played at Georgetown. Both Seth Curry(Duke) and his older brother Steph Curry(Bradley) are the sons of former NBA player Dell Curry. Jarred Payton, the son of Walter, played at Miami! Barry Sanders son, Barry Jr., is heading to Stanford to play this fall.  Joekim Noah's dad, Yannick, was an all pro tennis player! Mike & Mike's Mike Golic has two sons currently playing at Notre Dame!  Michael freaking Jordan's kid, Marcus, is on scholarship at Central Florida right now! How much is Jordan worth? About a half billion too!

Rich is rich bruh! It doesn't matter if your ole man has $5 million or $550 million. If the kid is good enough to play at that level and they're giving scholarships away to fill the teams roster. Then he deserves to have one too. Are you kidding me? It would be different if he were an average student and they gave him a scholarship just to go to school with his dad being loaded. That "ship" has to be earned. Them joints aren't free! He still has to put in the work in order to keep it. They no longer offer "Full Rides" bruh! They are renewable annually so if you aren't putting in the time and effort you won't keep that joint.

How dare folks hate a kid that is one of the best players in the country and is just as smart. That means that his mom and dad have taught him that there are no free-be's in life. How many cats would have just laid on the couch and chilled because the ole man is going to take care of it. He's not rich! His ole man is! But I know he's going to pull up on the yard in his Maybach though! He's gonna be killin' 'em!

  1. Hellooooo bruh, I remember an episode of the Cosby show where Vanessa said, "Dad / mom, I'm having problems at school because we are so rich." Heathcliff and Claire replied, "No we are rich, you have nothing." This is the reality here! If anyone should speak out regarding Diddy's son, they should be applauding his desire to -- get his own -- paper or notariety. We want our children to learn from their parents, role models, coaches, etc. and inherit a great work ethic and this is what he has done in achieving a big time scholarship. Being a former ball-player, I know that it takes hours of work and dedication to be successful. A lot times is unsupervised, uncoached, discipline. In this case, part of that discipline I'm sure came from his "Ole man." Actually, those that speak against this scholarship could probably stand to learn something about getting their own and creating personal success.....

  2. If you have made MILLIONS... YOU SHOULD HAVE PUT AWAY MONEY SO YOUR CHILD CAN ATTEND ANY COLLEGE HE WANTS. IT should be about CAN HE QUALIFY TO SCHOOLS ACADEMIC STANDARDS that's IT.It's not about him paving his own way HIS PARENT HAS THE MONEY TO PAY FOR HIM TO GO TO SCHOOL ,THAT'S HIS PARENTS Responsabilty... HOW MANY PARENTS WISH THEY HAD THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THERE CHILD TO GO TO UCLA? If YOUR PARENTS HAVE MADE OVER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY.YOU SHOULD NOT QUALIFY FOR A FREE SCHOLARSHIP....
