The Jets Laron Landry is cock strong & was as fake as a 3 dollar bill this week!

One of the most important lessons that you learn growing up in the hood is to leave family business at the crib! What did your ole man always say? “Don’t go out of my house and tell folks what’s going on in my house!” If it happened behind closed doors bruh, it stayed behind closed doors! The rules were the same even in the streets. If your boy was going through then you were going through and nobody could say anything negative about him or it was gonna to be a fight. Vegas even learned a lesson from the hood when they started the marketing campaign “What Happens in Vegas! Stays in Vegas!”

Laron Landry, former LSU Tiger and 6th overall pick of the Washington Redskins in 2007 now with the New York Jets, obviously didn’t grow up with those ground rules. My man completely slammed the Honey Badger in the media this week all while calling him his little brother. Say What?

Landry told the media, “Guys were hitting me up! Even some coaches saying, you gotta reach out to him!” He went on to tell them that he reached out several times with no response from Mathieu. He even told them how he hit him up on Twitter and that he wouldn’t respond. He goes on to say that he remembers thinking to himself, “Don’t treat me like a female.”

Then it‘s like he thought about what he‘d just done so he tried to clean it up by saying, “He got caught up living the life. Not being smart being a student-athlete. You gotta take the initiative and know the rights and wrongs. Ask yourself what’s important in life!“

"Bam," then all of a sudden it‘s like ole boy lost it again and he went HAM, “Enough is enough! You’re not bigger than the organization. You’re not bigger than the team. You’re not bigger than LSU.” Even if he felt that way you don’t say it in the media bruh. That’s an at the crib with the fella's type conversation.

Now Ima keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Laron Landry is a straight up punk for throwing his so-called boy or as he calls him his “little brother” under the bus and backing over him like that. Where I’m from, cats would be coming through his front door for less than that. Ole boy is going through and all you can do is entertain the media by giving them the play by play of your honest opinion?  If that’s your boy or little brother then treat him like it homeboy.

When those clowns asked him about the Badger the response should have simply been, “No comment” or “That’s my guy and I’m praying for him.” You don’t owe them a story or a conversation. I know some of you that are reading this joint are saying, “He didn’t really say anything Jay!” He said way too much because he violated the family code found in Section 5 Article 12 of the "Crib is Off Limits Handbook" written by the hood's board of director's, Uncle June Bug, Big Man Scooter and Slick Homie. What happens behind closed doors stays behind close doors! So all of that extra chatter can get you tapped up and that’s real talk bruh.

What he really thought of the Honey Badger's problems isn’t the world’s business. That’s like letting other folks talk about your “screw up” family member. You can talk about them behind closed doors all you want but let someone that’s not in the family say something. They’ll be pulling boyz off of them. If Landry cared anything about Tyrann Mathieu he wouldn’t have blasted him in public. So that “little brother” moniker that he put on him was all for the camera’s bruh. That’s called being fake, plastic or straight up Charge Card. Stop me when I start lyin'!

Grown Man Business!

"I didn't realize how real it was out here bruh!"

“Well son…it’s gonna hurt me more than it hurts you!” Remember when your old man would tell you that back in the day just before he laid into you? As a child it never made sense to me because I was on the receiving end of that joint. How is it hurting you when you’re doing the giving, it harmless to you and it looks like you’re enjoying it bruh?

That’s what ole Les Miles was saying on Friday when he had no choice but to kick Tyrann Mathieu the “Honey Badger” off of the LSU football team. The only difference between ole Les and your old man was that Les REALLY meant that joint. See your dad was being symbolic in a sense when he would say it but Les was in anguish because he gets paid to win ball games not to worry about some cat breaking rules. He’s got an assistant head coach for that.

You know how boyz get arrested on a domestic violence charge like Chad Johnson just did yesterday because in the heat of the moment his girl may have called the police but after ole boy gets locked up she really wants to drop the charges. Unfortunately, sometimes the state will take over the case so it doesn’t matter what the person that originally filed the charge says, they'll prosecute anyway. You've seen that before right?

That’s how Les Miles looked when he walked into the press conference on Friday. He couldn’t save his boy and most importantly his #2 pre-season ranking that's about to take a hit. The Honey Badger just couldn’t get out of his own way. According to sources close to him he was dismissed because of a failed drug test. Schools have disciplinary policies written in stone but if you’re the face of the program you get some extra rope and Mathieu knew that! The policy was 3 failed drug tests and you’re gone right? So in order for the Badger; I'm sorry,  the Heisman Trophy Finalist from a year ago to get kicked off the LSU Tigers football team he was probably on number 10 and the administration finally stepped in and took the keys from Ole Les. He got busted last year for smoking that Spice and was suspended a couple of games, remember that?

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! In order to get dismissed from the football team in the SEC you gotta be completely out of control. Especially if you’re the MAN on a squad that’s in the hunt for the national title again! Now I’m usually the first cat to come to the defense of young urban kids that have made mistakes because I completely understand what they’ve had to go through just to make it to campus. However, the Honey Badger has been around for two years and fully understood what was at stake.

Once you’ve climbed the mountain, looked over and seen the promise land you can’t act like you don’t know what’s out there bruh. You’ve been around enough people over the past two years that have given you the 411 on how to make it. Since 2007 LSU ranks 3rd with 9 first round draft picks behind Alabama’s 11 and USC’s 10. So you can throw out the “I didn’t know any better” argument bruh! Cats that you’ve eaten with traveled with and let’s keep it real scrapped with on the yard at the Sigma or Que parties have gone on to become millionaires. So you’ve got the blueprint and there should be no excuses.

What a lot of young cats don’t understand is that once it becomes grown man business you’ve got to put the weed down. I’ve never indulged in that foolishness because I respected my body too much as a young athlete but most kids and young adults have at least tried it. However, there comes a time when you’ve got to put the weed down bruh if you’re trying to get paid. Weed and money can’t occupy the same space unless you're Snoop and Wiz Khafila. Any real job that you’re going to have is going to require you to be clean. That’s real talk bruh! So if you’re willing to let that get in the way of you getting paid then you’re a fool just like the Honey Badger.

What did Puff Daddy used to always say when Bad Boy was on top in the mid '90's? "It's real in the field!" In the last 24 to 48 hours Tyrann Mathieu has gotten a dose of what it really means to be a grown man. At the end of the day nobody cares bruh! You've got to either make it happen or fall off. It really is just that simple!

Sure, he’ll still probably get drafted but he just cost himself several million in guaranteed money because he just bent his rim on a G.I. pot hole and now he's falling way down the draft. There was already a knock on him because he’s a 5’8” 175 lb corner. Now he’s a character issue and boyz don’t want problems especially when they’re spending that type of bread.

Now he's really got to ball out of control when he lands on his feet. The word on the street is that he's looking to step down a notch so that he can play immediately at either McNeese State, Jackson State or Prairie View A&M. Listen up young people! Just cuz it's cool to do doesn't mean that it's cool to do!

Grown Man Business Is Grown Man Business!

"The Honey Badger understands accountability!"

Being a grown man is understanding that you've got to do what your supposed to do before you can do what you want to do. Understanding that all emotions have to be removed in order to see things clearly. There is a level of responsibility that many human beings of the male species never elevate to. So many guys get older but never mature to grown man status! That ultimate level is called accountability and where I'm from it's called "Grown Man Business."

Handling that business is the determining factor between failure and success. This week top-ranked LSU has suspended star cornerback and Heisman candidate Tyrann Mathieu known as the "Honey Badger" and star running back Spencer Ware for Saturday's home game against Auburn, a school official told ESPN.com's Mark Schlabach.

A source told The Associated Press that defensive back Tharold Simon is also suspended, and that the players ran afoul of the team's drug policy. The source did not specify the drug for which the players tested positive. The suspensions are only for one game, a source told ESPN's Joe Schad.

Head Coach Les Myles tried to keep the situation from looking too bad by saying, "I understand the interest which surrounds what seems to be news. There is internal discipline and internal news," Miles said. "I have a process I go through. ... It's a procedure I'm true to. There is no real information about any player that I'll address at this point."

Let's keep it all the way 100 coach! This is a big deal! You're losing at least two of the most productive players on your team and probably the best defensive player in the country in the "Honey Badger". He has forced four fumbles, recovering three and returning two for scores. He also has two interceptions and 42 tackles including 1½ sacks. That's huge hole to fill bruh!

When you're the #1 ranked team in the country you can't afford to show up limping because everybody is going to give you their best shot and Auburn will be no exception to that rule on Saturday.

I know that these are 18-22 year olds but we need to start teaching young boys about handling grown man business while they're in middle school at the very latest. Understanding how to handle that business is necessary at that age because they've already begun to play sports and like girls etc. Being accountable to whatever is important to you sets the tone for your life.

These three young men have not only let themselves down but also their parents, teammates, coaches and fans. As they get older, if they never completely learn what handling grown man business is they'll let down the most important group of people in their lives, their wives and children.

This is bigger than just some silly kids getting caught with drugs and violating team rules. If you can't put simple distractions away while you're on the verge of competing for a national title. What can you put them away for? That's probably the most important goal in your life at that time if you are a student-athlete. We've already seen Jordan Jefferson nearly ruin his life by getting into a bar fight prior to the season starting. He was initially facing felony charges that easily could have landed him in jail. Blame emotion!

We've got to teach our young boys to take the emotions out of their critical decision making because God didn't wire males to operate like that. Women are wired to make decisions with emotion. not men. However, so many of our young men have been raised without fathers. So who do they see making decisions on a regular basis? Mom! Just ask Vince Young about how making decisions with your emotions works out.

I'm not knocking single mothers because they've been forced to raised these children because dead beat dads didn't learn what "Grown Man Business" meant when they were children. Once again, being a grown man is understanding that you've got to do what you're supposed to do before you can do what you want to do! Grown Man Business Is Grown Man Business!
