How Stephen A. did a TERRIBLE job of tryin' to save face on First Take! "Streets Bruh?"

"What did you expect bruh?"
Paul Mellon, the well-known breeder of thoroughbred horses, once said, "There is no intellectual or emotional substitute for the authentic, the original, the unique masterpiece." Ben Okra, the Nigerian poet and novelist, gave it to us like this, "The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering." Then Wade Davis, the Canadian scientist, put his square out on the wall and saved the rest for later when he spit, "Heroes are never perfect, but they're brave, they're authentic, they're courageous, determined, discreet, and they've got grit."

Well playas...everybody and their baby's momma's momma, Ms. Jackson, was either watchin' or listenin' to ESPN's First Take this mornin' to see what ole Stephen A. was goin' to say in response to the Big Dog's "Cage Challenge." Now we all know that it was the edited version. What the Big Dog was really sayin' was that he'd beat the brakes off of that dun anytime and anywhere he wanted to get it in. That's called bein' authentic, courageous, determined and discreet playboy! That's called bein' from the G!

Let's keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Stephen A. did exactly what all the REAL G's out here knew he would do. Pull a sucka move and talk his way around that whoopin' he talked up! Ole boy starts off bad when he tries to front. He goes, "Well at first the street was gonna come out of me and respond but I'm 48 years old etc..." Hold up playboy, let's stop the ride right there. In my Halle Berry Boomerang love should have brought yo "A" home last night voice, "If the streets were in you to begin with you wouldn't have brought that man's name up in the first place."

Those of us that grew up understandin' the code of the streets understand that the streets within' you won't let you create a beef with a boy that's mindin' his own business. That's Rule No.1 Article 6 Section 2 of the Hood Code of Conduct!

Like I said in my last two Hot Joints entitled "Coward" and "The G" Glenn retired in 2006! So he shouldn't be anywhere near Stephen A.'s lips. And if you were gonna bring up that man then talk about why you didn't like the way he treated Randy Ayers. Don't tell boyz that you "despise" him because by doin' that you created beef. And please don't tell us that the streets kept you from respondin' the way you wanted to. Because again, if you knew anything about the streets we wouldn't be havin' these conversations about you not followin' the Code of freakin' Conduct!

Then the dun goes on to apologize because he realized that it just got real when he made it personal. However, he pulls a another sucka move when he goes in on him again and starts takin' shots at ole boy'z career. Now either you're goin' to apologize and move on or you're goin' to keep this foolishness up?

You can hate all you want Stephen A. but G Rob was the National Player of the Year comin' out of Purdue. He was No.1 overall pick in the 1994 draft and he literally strong armed the NBA for the largest rookie deal in the history of the league at $68 million. He had a 12 year career where he averaged 20.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game makin' the All-Star team twice and winnin' a Championship. Who cares that he was on the back end of his career when he won it on the bench in San Antonio? He's got a freakin' NBA Championship ring!!!

Now only a hater would try to dissect a boy'z career like that after the fact. He's accomplished more in the game of basketball than you did bruh! Because when you make the beef personal bruh then you open up the door for Glenn to say, "Where did you play bruh?" Winston-Salem State? And then he'll say, "I got more money in my pocket right now than the entire athletic budget at Winston-Salem! Stop it. You sound crazy!" See how that works when you make it personal?

You can't make it personal when it shouldn't be. Your job is to give your opinion about what's goin' on in sports or whatever else is relevant in the news. Not tryin' to chip away at a boy'z career that has retired and gone on about his business. And the dun has made more money in a 12 year span that you'll ever dream of makin' so you can't make it personal because you'll always lose that fight.

Don't run up, poke the bear and then apologize only to poke him again. And quit lyin' on the streets tellin' boyz that the "streets" in you held you back because if you had the streets in you they never would have let you pop off in the first place. And did y'all see ole dull Skip try to get in on the foolishness too? Now he knows he doesn't want to get involved in that. Stop me when I start lyin'!

Playas Thesaurus:
1) Spit: verb - to say
2) Dun: noun - the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It's whoever I'm talkin' about and its non-gender specific.
3) The G: noun - Gary, Indiana
