"Almost Home" |
Nowitzki made the tie breaking layup with 3.6 seconds left, and the Mavericks roared back from 15 points down in the fourth quarter to stun the Miami Heat 95-93 on Thursday night and tie the series at one game apiece. "You can just sense it in us that we weren't going to give up, we were going to be resilient," Dallas guard Jason Terry said.
Capping a furious rally by scoring Dallas' final nine points, Nowitzki made two late baskets left-handed -- despite a torn tendon in his middle finger. He finished with 24 points, saying the finger felt fine.
"Definitely a huge comeback for us and we never gave up, and that was big," Nowitzki said.
In my opinion, the series has turned on it's ear at this point. With Dallas going home to play three straight the Heat could be in trouble. LeBron and Co. needed to win both games in Miami to be comfortable going to Dallas. The Mavs have taken the home court advantage away now and have the momentum going to the crib.
Too much Dirk down the stretch. |
They were putting up terrible shots in desperation and making playground mistakes down the stretch. Dirk just rolled right on by like he'd been in that movie before. What blew me away was the fact that Miami had a foul to give and just let Dirk go to the basket uncontested. Talk about falling asleep! Or maybe they were both drunk and sleep?
It all of a sudden as gotten very interesting! Don't get up and leave the scene of this accident because anything could happen at this point.
Holla At Ya Boy!!!

You are correct in saying this series just got "very interesting".
ReplyDeleteThis game just proved the lesson we learn playing little league sports which is to "play hard until the whistle/buzzer sounds"
It almost seems that the Heat started to believe the Hype about having the 2 best closers (killers) so they just cruised (great defense just seemed to relax) with the assumption that their guys would ultimately win the game!
In my opinion this was the BEST thing that could have happen for the NBA b/c the world just got more interested in watching!
Can someone say 7 games series!!
